The gov web site charge £50 to set one up. Bit steep ant it? Any where ells I can get for less please?

Apparantlly you can set it up then make it dormant until you need it again
Will be £100 next year and £50 for the confirmation statement so I would get it done before then.
I don’t think £50 is expensive to set up a Ltd Company

But you still need to provide a confirmation statement to CH each year and your duties as a director don’t change just because it’s dormant.

a few years ago, I managed to use Tide to create my companies for FREE and get my free bank accounts, I knew that they would stop it/increase prices.

I recommend paying now, before its more.

Some countries have crazy fees for companies, and I see the UK following suit, especially with the whole director ID shit

Except @Cash is King is cash only. Tide don’t do cash, it’s online only. Still costs £50, tide just absorb the cost.

I dont like things that are free! because there is no such thing as a free lunch. But in situations like this it useully involves selling your sovereignty to Saitine dressed up as the wolf in the sheep skin coat (Trader 212 brings back memoires)

Tell me a bit more about the directors ID thing please?

So are you saying Tide pay the goverment 50 pound for one to start with and resell it for less

Would I have to use my ASDA travel money card to buy it?
    Yes.

you would have to transfer money into your Tide account using their app. All online, no cash

I have heared stories of people buying limited companies
Of course you can. But you would still have to prove your identity and create the necessary company documents, issue shares and pay fees.

You have to prove your identity by uploading documents to the gov.uk website.
Is this current and present at the moment and if so how long has it been like that for? Can you uploaded a copy of say a UK passport or driving licence in the form of a JPG or PDF that you have scanned at your library to them. Do they take copies in the post? do they have a UK postal address?

Where can you find such companies for sale?
It’s all explained on the gov.uk website and company’s house website.

You can find companies for sale on a number of auction sites. Google it.

it states "Identity verification is a new legal requirement." how long has it been in service for?
About a year. Along with a number of other changes. If you want to be a company director you will no longer be anonymous.

@Cash is King - you need some help with this as your knowledge of company law and associated processes are very lacking. A local corporate lawyer will guide you for an appropriate fee.
