I am trying to build the number of likes for a page I have created.

Ideally I want people involved in property (namely landlords).

I have some property friends who have 5k+ friends.

I was thinking of an approaching mutual fiends and saying something along the lines of

Hi Tony (name added for emphasis) we share a friend in....I have created a new facebook page which is educational and also a bit of fun.

You will probably recognise some people you have dealt with in the past!

As a thank you for liking the page, I will send you a piece of software I created called 'creating the perfect tenancy in five minutes'.

Do you think this approach could work? Any suggestions on how to improve my line of attack?

Thanks

Jon

I found really hard to increase likers on Facebook. I'd like to know what everyone here thinks about buying facebook likes but although it doesn't sound right it really helps. It's very hard people to like your page if you have 10-20 people but if you have 5k people liked your page, anyone visits your like page they do end up liking your page.

    Maybe you can try that?

Personally I am against buying likes...dont see the sense of a user who either has been generated and never uses facebook that lives in azerbaijan who if was a real user has no interest in your business.

Your right people do tend to like the page the more you have and Webgeek uses a great analogy about Cocktail Parties...no one likes being the first there..same as the dancefloor in the disco.

It does take time and hard work to get page likes...especially from people that you want/need to like the page...if you want landlords and I dont know but say if you are a letting agent then why not offer one lucky facebooker/landlord zero Fees for 6 mths once you reach a certain milestone of 100, 1000 what ever...there is even apps for facebook that will tell you who created most likes and shared the page the most for you...which is another option..."The person who brings me the most likes gets...Drum roll"

I find the hardest is the first 100 then it gets easier..but like mentioned you have to work at it and dont think 10mins a day is going to do it.

Can I also add that making your cover page work for you also helps to get likes and make sure the Profile picture is a seemless link to the cover page.
