Is everyone with BT Broadband having problems with very slow and intermittent service? I think it's a nationwide problem.

I've managed to get a few of us online by connecting to the 'net via our blackberries as modems. But most of the office are sitting here twiddling their thumbs : (

Also means our phones are useless as they're all VOIP

Seems we are fine in Slough at the moment.

I doubt it would be nationwide as there are soooooo many different networks and routes that one failure could not bríng down the whole network.

Perhaps your nearest router has failed. Have you restarted YOUR router?

Do BT know you have a problem?

Yep, restarted router.

BT's status line is just saying there are currently known problems, then cutting us off.

We're in Essex and Alan (alpha) up near Birmingham seems to be having the same problem

Mine's pretty slow and going off once or twice a day at the moment - I thought it was just that I lived at the back of beyond!

I have a client in Horsham who is experiencing severe ADSL slowdowns/dropped packets on BT Business Broadband today... I'm just down the road but with a different ISP and I'm roaring along nicely, probably due to the lack of BT customers on the line ;)

I guess those that are having problems can't get on to say so.

BT have updated their status page to say there are general "network problems", and their guys on the phone don't know anymore than the status page says. No expected resolution time.

I guess I could run home and borrrom my daughters Twister. Will give us something to do!

I am with AOL but having all sorts of the same problems, I wonder if it could be a big IP switching center which is causing it? I've found reducing the MTU has helped but for most of the time google has been down for me all weekend.

We experienced little or no internet access yesterday until later in the day.

We've had a couple of blips this morning but have reset the router and this appears to have sorted the problem.

The router is still alerting us that the Primary DNS are failing to respond sometimes - we've tried 8 other BT DNS IP's all have the same problem.
