Virtual phone number with forwarding service

Hi Guys,

I want to have a virtual landline/0800 number for a business that will forward calls to my mobile number. Any recommendations of companies which members on here are currently using/have used.

Tamar - you can use a code mortgagesuccess to get some sort of discount I think.
We have used them for about 2 years, cant fault them, cheap and decent service.

I use Voipfone as a company - very good - but on the mobile I use a soft phone app ( Zoiper ) as the forwarding to mobile is an extra cost per minute.

I use Vonage they do give you some real phones but you don't have to use them

As has been suggested, using an iOS/Android softphone app (or service which includes an app) on your mobile can be a more cost effective solution as you can avoid potential call forwarding costs.

If you would prefer to forward a call to a mobile number, a feature like Call Assurance can be nice to have, as you can affirmatively choose which calls to accept on your phone. Useful to avoid mistakenly answering business calls as personal calls and vice versa!

It seems a bit of a stretch to refer to that as being free? Unless I'm missing something?

Virtual Landline - They are a UK based company with uk customer service and cheap prices. They have a new app out that has a lot of cool new features as well as GSM networks now allowing you to pick up calls through the internet and mobile networks.

I use Yellowcom and divert a landline to a mobile for £10 exc VAT a month.

Never had an issue but on 3 occasions I got my office phoning me and it's silent. Hasn't happened for ages and didn't cost me anything!

To do this, you need to generate phone number through special software. In such a program's menu, you can choose the country whose number you'll use. I used this generator when I was in Portugal for three months. None of my customers should have guessed that I was now abroad. It was my long vacation. And generating a phone number through the program really helped me maintain my status as a reliable project performer. So my suggestion may be convenient for you. You're going to use these numbers for work, as I did. Give it a try.
