Hello,

I would be grateful for some advice about how to get a virtual london (0207) number to my mobile as cheaply as possible. I have had some really expensive quotes, and wonder if anyone knows of a competitively price website/company that can do this for me.

Many thanks

Dave

I presume the virtual number is available over a VoIP line.

If that's true there are two options:
1. use a voip client for your phone and login with the username and passowrd provided by the phone number provider. The downside to this is that your mobile carrier will have to allow VoIP traffic through their data network.

2. you can go for an IP pbx (like asterisk) or hosted IP pbx that will forward calls to your mobile number.

I use an App on my smart phone that allows me to answer my office number for free. PM me if you'd like details (I also supply VoIP numbers).

All the best

Setup the number with a voip provider, ie sipgate (gives you a free number). Forward that number direct onto your mobile from the web panel.

You will have to pay the call charge onto your mobile.

020 7s ran out in 2005 and 020 8 a year or two later. The current London numbers are 020 3.

We can still get 020 7s but they cost about £100 and 020 8, £50. 020 3 don't have a set-up charge.

Otherwise all numbers cost £2 per month and can be diverted to a UK landline for 1p per minute and to a UK mobile for 10ppm.

There info on how it's done here (read both pages):

Soho 66 do a SIM card that you put in any unlocked or three mobile handset which gives you a landline number on the sim. It's only 2.5p per min as well.

I've just posted a list of 0207 numbers I just happen to have available here (in the UKBF Marketplace of course!) NO PREMIUM! :)

All the best
