Till software for PC

Hi as you can see from another thread i haven't got that much spare cash so can anyone recommend a decent on screen till i can have on screen all day or a programme similar, something really easy to use. The actual shop till is basic with a standard receipt system and i just want to log all transactions with greater detail.

Do you intend using your current till alongside it? If you do and you have a computer could you set yourself up a spreadsheet with the detail you want. We have just opended a retail/internet/cyber cafe and have a basic till and use excel spreadsheet for recording more details.
