Free sales receipt app

I am relocating my shop to smaller premises I currently use a big cash till to record all sales and to generate a receipt for the purchases for the customer. I use Clover Mini Card system for card payments. The card system has a mobile printer attached but this just prints the card payment receipts.

Due to lack of space now I want to get rid of my large till but need to replace it with something else. I have seen small cash drawers that can be attached to iPad or phone that auto open but I want to be able to generate an itemised receipt for all purchases cash or by card. Is there any free apps that can do this that I can maybe link to the clover printer. Or is there a clover app I can use to generate till type receipts? I don’t want to pay a high monthly fee on top of my card machine fees as it’s pretty basic what I need. I just want a receipt system that has about 10 depts to record every sale.

Any advice would be great from other small retail shop owners.

Any POS system without the ability to print a receipt is useless!

You can set up your own POS system for a few quid with new or old parts - you will probably only have to buy a compatible cash drawer and receipt printer. However, you will have to manage the system and be able to deal with issues.
