You can try writing the best and attractive content for your site. It will not boost initially but with time and hard work, it will surely go up. You will even start to feel the difference. Make sure to engage your audience otherwise it is not worth it. Also, SEO is not going to save you if your site is not responsive and user-friendly so work on it and then start considering other options. Hope it will get your query clear.

She's at least trying to learn...I think people learning in any regard to growing a business deserve recognition.

To be honest the amount of work a 'professional seo service' will provide will be a joke to what a dedicated and perservering individual can acheive.

you can do competitive analysis. use software like SEO Spyglass to know the backlinks of your rivals and work on those backlinks. keep one thing in mind that backlinks should be relevant. so work on the relevant site or category. it will drive relevant traffic and your chances of conversion will be greater.

Don't buy backlinks, Google will ban your site for buying backlinks. backlinks should be created naturally.

Google will not ban you. Some of the very best backlinks are paid for. It's how you use them that matters.
