I'm looking for more information on how we can route calls made to an 0800 number (or other non-geographic number) and deliver it to one of our company sites most local to the mobile caller.

Kwik fit seem to be able to do this when you ring 0800 222111

Can someone please help/elaborate on how this is done and what costs might be associated with doing it?

Thank you

Hiya,

there is no way to do it as the calling party is presenting 07xxx to the 08xxx number so it is impossible to see wherer the mobile is located as a result. The only workaround is to have something as part of the 08 service which requests that the connected call then input the STD code they are calling from, but the call is connected at that point and is user input driven.

I am aware of only one company who offer that as part of their product portfolio for 08 services

Hi
There is a UK company that provides that exact service although to get specifics I would visit the website for more information. Search Google for uk2numbers website.

101 does it for 07x so find out their secret ;)

Obviously not CLI. Must be some cell info in there somewhere, just a question of having sufficient access to it.
