Quote creation software for a groundworks company

Hi,

I am looking into any software that allows quotes to be quickly created to save time. I have looked at Estimate Rocket etc, but was wondering if anyone had used any other form of software?

Ideally, a quote would be created from a list of variables, then created into a word document format.

Currently we just us word and excel, but this is very time consuming.

We do all our quotes from within our accounts system, Xero. Perhaps you can check with whomever provides your current accounts (or whatever software you use for that) to see if there is an option for building quotes and setting up templates to make the process faster!

I've built a number of bespoke quote systems over the years. Once you have all the formula sorted the rest is just standard code. I don't save as a word document (because they can edit the thing), I save the quote as a PDF. you can even automate the emailing function. It means the potential client fills in an online form, sees the quote and fills in their email address to receive the quote as a pdf attachment.

Or you do as @james_firmsites suggests and use something like xero
