Procuring mobile numbers for SMS to email service

Hi,

I have read all the posts here about setting up a MVNO. I can say with confidence that I have been discouraged! That said, I am still interested in potentially reselling virtual mobile numbers via a website. Does anyone have any experience in procuring mobile numbers from the main providers (EE, Three etc)? I am not interested in reselling SIM cards or phones. Just the numbers. I have come across a few SMS to email services and wondered how and where they get their numbers from without having to be a MVNO.

Any advice would be appreciated

Thank you for your reply. I have looked into Twilio. Thats definitely an option but the services I have come across seem to use numbers that link back to telco providers like Three, Vodafone and EE.

All services in the UK will link back to one of the main networks...
