From what software? Does it recommend a specific type of paper with labels that you can peel off? If so there will be information about what printer works best with it.

Most of my label printing is done from amzon seller central where I print off sheets of 27 labels per sheet but Iam ready to hear other options available
Ok but on what paper? Does it come with pre-cut labels?

yes i buy sheets of labels 27 per page ready cut
And does that paper say it works with laser printers? Because those are usually the fastest and cheapest per page with the sharpest image quality too.

yes they can be used with a laser printer what one would you advise to buy
I'm not a printer expert but we have a "brother" in the office and it works well, no problems with it so far.

I use 27 labels per sheet
    I buy the labels for Label4u - A4 27 labels
    I use Brother 5200

Label4u labels has their brand name behind the A4 papers, you need to make sure you put them correctly into printer.. Otherwise it prints labels slightly above the label size. I wasted so many papers before I figure out that

I used to own an ink cartridge brand and also sell on Amazon so some tips...
    • The cost of printing is not in the printer - it is in the ink. If buying an inkjet, don't fall for the £30 printer that takes 2 cartridges. They hold almost no ink and cost a fortune to replace. It will cost you hundreds more in the long run.
    • If you are printing FNSKU labels, then I would get a Canon with individual colours (again, NOT one with 2 cartridges). Canons are more expensive than Epsons but more reliable and can be run dry without getting air in the ink lines (one of the causes of patchy print)
    • If getting a laser, HP always did the best ones and you can get a decent B/W one for under £100. The toner cartridges are not that expensive either, the quality is better than even the best inkjets and the print is more durable/waterproof so better for shipping labels. The machine will occasionally need a new drum (unless you buy one with a combined drum and toner - usually Brother from memory). So if you are printing shipping labels that will be exposed to the elements, then probably one of these.
    • Unless you really need high-quality colour, don't buy a colour laser. The machines are much more expensive and the cartridges are not cheap either. The good machines can cost £200 each time you buy a set!
    • If all you are printing is shipping labels, then consider a Dymo. I have one next to me for printing 6" x 4" courier labels. They don't have ink cartridges - the labels have 'ink' built into them which appears when heat is applied; hence 'thermal'. You can buy the rolls off eBay or Amazon for not much per label. I have the Dymo LabelWriter 4XL and it is great. Super reliable, although it has probably been replaced by a newer model now.
    Hope that helps :)
