Are Royal Mail's free labels compatible with all Zebra thermal printers?

Hi,

New here.

A few questions:

1. Now that the Zebra GK Series GK420D is discontinued, I was wondering whether the free labels that Royal Mail provides are compatible with all or any other Zebra thermal scanners?

2. Are they compatible with any other branded thermal scanner?

3. Can you print the 6x4 labels to a smaller size with any Zebra thermal scanner for small envelopes? If this possible to do at all or do they NEED to be 6x4?

1) loads if not all. We still have an old LP2844 and a couple of GK430D. I would recommend the GK430D as the print quality is very good.

2) yes any that accept 4x6 and a core as opposed to flat I think.

3) you can use smaller labels and reconfigure settings or use the 4x6 labels and cut them. Not sure if you would get issues scanning the barcodes though. You're probably better off just making sure your envelopes are big enough to take a standard 4x6 label though to save messing around.

There used to be a discount for OBA customers with thebarcodewarehouse so worth enquiring if you're in the market for a new one.

Thanks everyone, we did in fact manage to find a pretty much new Zebra GK Series GK420D on ebay. Seems to work great so far!
