what we are looking at is adding an online invoice payment system this year

sadly i dont know much about the subject

As we deal B2B the idea would be for us to have an online system where a dealer could log in, see their invoices and go onto to pay them

is there an off the shelf system or will it need custom script

Thats your standard invoicing solution for raising invoices, not for letting your customers pay them. Thats not what the OP is after.

But they can log in - go look at their invoices and then follow a link to pay them if outstanding.

Doesn't seem practical to me, if you have 500 customers you need to create 500 separate logins and somehow filter each login so that each customer can only see their invoices. Unless of course you dont care who sees what.
