I am creating a new site and I am having a hard time, I have gone from design to design to find the best possible layout.

I sell 6 main things at the minute Banners, Roll up banners, pop up banners, labels, posters & frames, Banner frames and Pavement signs.

Below is what I have (Graphic and site map)so far, 6 boxes with 2 of the above sections in Exhibition Displays.

In the future I will be expanding this and will be adding more boxes and extra categories into Exhibition displays.

I can't decided what is best to have boxes, boxes and side menu or just a side menu, I would really appreciate the help.

Also on the easierprint website they have a call to action straight away do you think this type of layout with boxes underneath would be best.

Thanks for your time and I really appreciate the help.

At this point in time it really doesn't matter what layout you choose. It won't be until you start testing that you will know if one format or another works. It's a really simple job to change the positions of each element using CSS so you can fiddle about with this later on. It would be much better to employ a developer and let then sort out the site architecture. Your concept has got all sorts of flaws and from a project management point of view you really need to concentrate on defining the requirements rather than the finished product.

Sorry just to clarify this is not for the actual graphic design it was just an example of what layout I could take, what sort of price would I be look at for this type of site.

To me they both look pretty similar but cluttered. Could you not find a better way of organising the site into being more user friendly than those designs?

In that case forget all about the graphics, layout and even the site structure. Your developer will do all this for you. All you need is a set of requirements:

  • Information pages for each product
  • Ability to upload artwork
  • Quote system
  • Ordering and payment system
  • Administration and info pages
Put it out to tender and see what comes back. There is nothing too complicated about your requirements and most acomplished developers will be able to give you a quote and provide examples of their work. In fact I know there is a company who specialise in this sort of application - gan provide you with an off-the-shelf product that does everything you need, all it needs is a new template and artwork.

I think you need to talk to your webdesigners or developer about this. You are asking for a huge amount of help for free. and alsodoing alot of the work your web designer should be doing for you. Are you self building.

And also dont copy other peoples site. Be original.

The OP should at least get the easierprint's permission.
