Need a cart that can do this

Hi

I'm looking for a shopping cart with a difference. I want to be able to open substores very easily without having to install a new cart and database on my server everytime I want open one up.

The sales from the substores will be passed to a master store for processing. The substores only need to display the basics = categories, prices, products and sales statistics.

Is there an off the shelf system out there?

If there is only one transaction process, any cart can do this, by setting up a top level categories as individual 'stores'.

If you want to set up individual stores with separate processing capabilities, Xcart maybe an option, however, popular oscommerce based systems may have this option.

Also, Magento MAY be able to do this, now.

It would be easier to provide a precise answer if we could know how substores should be manager and what user roles are planned.

Will each store be administered separately, by a different person?
Should substores be present on the same domain, or on separate domains/subdomains?
Is design planned to be different?

At least the basics would really be helpful.

magento is the way to go, it's built to manage multiple store from one admin interface.

Sure xcart pro can do this also

Have sent you a PM, however, assuming my (and other posters here) understanding of your requirement is correct - our framework supports this by default.

I found exactly that, extremely powerfull but very complex to setup and administer, I also found it a bit buggy in places.
