Hi,
I have just redesigned my website and now am looking to start seo'ing. I have decided to begin with I would concentrate on seo'ing a specific category on my website for the relating keywords. The phase I would like to rank for is a four word phase.
Problem is deciding who to go with.
Well I started off posting the job up on elance, guru and odesk to see some responses and the average quote I got was $150-250 and taking 1-3 months
two of the best where
.elance.com/s/seoservicesagency/10178[/url]
who claimed this
"Website:equiformnutrition.co.uk
For google.co.uk
Rank 1 Equine Supplement
Rank 3 Horse Supplement" which if true is pretty good?

So then I thourght I would go to the other extreme and get a quote from a top ranking seo company for the term seo. So I got a quote from a company called just search number 2 seo company on google and well that was truly the extreme. They said my keyword phase would be relativity hard to rank for because apparently "seo power" filters down from the root domain to inner pages (the page i would like to rank) and my competitors for my search term have powerful root domains because they have in excess of 1mil back links. This is acually amazon he is talking about, although amazon is not number 1 but number 2. Anyway I thought that was a reasonable explanation, but this it true? Anyway he then hit me with the price, it would cost 1k per month for 2-3year (that shocked me) before i see any results. and in the mean time i should spend 5k a month on adwords to get sales in the short term. Now i personally thought that was hugely over priced and a very long time frame, but was he right? within reason?
That got me thinking, is'nt it odd how i can get such a range of quotes for the same task. So i thought does that just search guy quote stupidly over the top prices because firstly he is number 2 on google so he can get away with it and secondly their usual clients are company like m and s and sports direct so again they can get away with it? So that made me think the quotes off elance ect may be reliable? Then again the just search people are number 2 on google for seo so they must know what they are doing
So then my final thought was to go onto the second page of google for the term "seo" thinking their may be companies good at seo, not the best, but still good considering the are ranking on the second page for "seo" who are cheaper. so i found these two companies who are a lot cheaper
clicksubmit.co.uk
r2media.co
anyone used them? they seem really cheap and seem to use software to build links? is that bad? clicksubmit say they build links over 3months as not to do so to quickly? does that make them ok to use?
Sorry for the long post, just looking for my general advice as I carnt afford the just search guy, but wondering if the others are still good enough? or if the just search guy is right and i should just save my money and wait until i can afford a company like just search
