I see this totally differently obviously. The case should be innocent until proven guilty. We have no idea what mac said to Nic and the fact that he does not want to put it on here before nic says anything, only says to me that he is avoiding any further nastiness.

Nic was very quick to get on the phone to Klout and tell him off and I think what we are waiting for here is Nic to come online and tell us what all the chaos is about.

Once we have the full picture it MAY then be a fair time to start calling mac unprofessional, until then I think you should leave him alone.

If that is not the case and after Nic has posted the issue, we still think badly of Mac then and only then can we let rip on him and send him off to hide.

But Nic was acting on the advice from another professional regarding how her web company had "taken advantage" of her. The question is, what was the advice?

Other than knowing the answer to that question, I don't think Nic has any case to answer to. If a roofer tells me the last firm that did my roof had taken advantage of me, and the new roofer is respectable, then who am I to say that they are wrong (bearing in mind roofing is not my forte? I'd probably react in a similar way to Nic and have a go at the last firm.

Innocent until proven guilty is fine if you turn up to court. A judge would perhaps instruct a jury to make whatever inferrence they like from somebody refusing to take the stand.
