Facebook Page - How do I remove numbers from url?

I have set up a facebook page (business) but was wondering if there is a way to remove the numbers from the url?

i.e. facebook.com/pages/myname/16364858

to facebook.com/pages/myname/

The latter would look better as a link.

Sometimes though for no apparent reason they won't let you though.
We tried it for ours but even though it's not taken we can't claim it and trying to find out the reason why is nigh on impossible.

this may be because that the name you are looking for may have been already used by someone. You can give a quick search and check it.
But, according to my search results, there is only 1 page result for deadgoodundies, which has been liked by only 1 person. So, i think you may have to re-configure your question.

Hmmm , i've done a search and can't find anyone using it and a search for deadgoodundies facebook only comes up with our page

which has got 244 likes

Tell a lie - yes it does look like some scrote has set that up.
