Removing competitor from social media?

Further to my other thread regarding the formal registration of a trademark to prevent a potential competitor from using it, my intention is to send a cease and desist letter when final TM approval is received.

There are however, no current links, no addresses, no names on any of the competitors holding pages they have set up on Facebook and Instagram or on their single 'coming soon' web page.

If I notify Facebook and Instagram of the trade mark misuse are they obliged to remove the offending pages and can I expect them to do so quickly?

I can't answer for FB or IG, but we were on Twitter / X and beginning of last year somebody created a fake account impersonating us. It had our logo and name, even though we don't have a trademark.

We reported them and that account was gone within half a day.

Maybe it gives you a time benchmark to shoot for.

We had a situation a few years ago where a competitor was displaying our name (trademarked) in Google search adds, we reported this with registration proof and they quickly removed it. Google do however allow competitors to use your name as keywords which I find completely wrong.

Sorry, I know this wasn't the question but I though I'd just add in a bit of info from my experience.
