Youre an insult to christianity and everything christian.

JW's didn't kill any of the 55 million in the second world war, your church was part of that arrangement, I saw it all when I was in Cyprus.

As a man, Jesus was neither critical nor hard to please.

Yet, there is much happening on the earth today that must fill him with righteous anger.

He is certainly angry at all those religious organizations that falsely claim to represent him.

He foretold as much: "Not everyone saying to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not perform many powerful works in your name?' And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness."-Matthew 7:21-23.

Many today who call themselves Christians might find those words puzzling.

Why would Jesus direct such strong words to people who have been performing "many powerful works" in his name?

The churches of Christendom have sponsored charities, aided the poor, built hospitals and schools, and performed many other works.

To see why they have earned Jesus' anger, consider an illustration.

A father and mother need to go on a trip.

They cannot take their children along, so they hire a babysitter.

Their instructions to her are simple: "Take care of our children.

Feed them, make sure they are clean, and keep them from harm."

When the parents return, though, they are shocked to see that their children are famished.

They are dirty, sickly, and miserable.

They are crying for the babysitter's attention, but their cries go unheeded.

Why?

She is up on a ladder, washing the windows.

Furious, the parents demand an explanation.

The sitter replies: "Look at all that I did!

Aren't the windows clean?

I made repairs to the house too, all for you!"

Would the parents feel better?

Hardly!

They never asked her to do those jobs; they just wanted their children cared for.

Her refusal to heed their instructions would infuriate them.

Christendom has acted like that babysitter.

Jesus left instructions with his representatives to feed people spiritually by teaching them the truth of God's Word and helping them to be spiritually clean. (John 21:15-17)

Yet, Christendom has dismally failed to obey his direction.

She has left people spiritually starved, confused by falsehoods and ignorant of basic Bible truths. (Isaiah 65:13; Amos 8:11)

Even her attempts to better this world can hardly excuse her willful disobedience.

After all, this world system is like a house that is slated for demolition!

God's Word makes it clear that Satan's world system is soon to be destroyed. 1 John 2:15-17.

Got the sense of it yet Parth, being a professed Christian you should.

This is not propaganda if the truth be really Known.

The World Book Encyclopedia says that 55 million people were killed in World War II.

They were killed by people of every major religion except Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Not one of those deaths was caused by a witness of Jehovah, for they obeyed the command to love one another and refused involvement in the wars of the nations.

A Catholic chaplain for the airmen who dropped the atom bombs on Japan in 1945 stated recently: “For the last 1,700 years the church has been making war respectable.

It has been inducing people to believe that it is an honorable Christian profession.

You and I know this is not true.

They are the one's that have have been brainwashed, which is the gospel of the Just War, which is a gospel that Jesus never taught.

There is nothing in the life or teaching of Jesus that would suggest that while it is illegitimate to incinerate people by a nuclear warhead, it is legitimate to incinerate people by napalm or flamethrower.”

The Catholic Herald of London stated: “The first Christians took Jesus at His word and refused to be conscripted into the Roman army even if the penalty was death.

Would the whole of history have been different if the Church had stuck to its original stand?

If the churches of today could come out with a joint condemnation of war which would mean that every member would be bound in conscience to be, like the Christians, a conscientious objector, peace might indeed be assured.

But we know that this will never happen.”

Thus, the religions of this world have fatally compromised God’s laws.

They do not trust him any more than the Pharisees did. “They publicly declare they know God, but they disown him by their works, because they are detestable and disobedient and not approved for good work of any sort.” (Titus 1:16)

As a result, God has abandoned this world’s religions as certainly as he abandoned the hypocritical Jewish religion in the first century.—Matthew 15:9,14.

Who are really the crank organisations, it is plain to see, as the truth does set you free. Yes

Parth your Church is very much involved in the war effort, which is against your God's teaching, no mention of that though is there.

My goodness, I am really glad I'm on God's side, Jesus really is doing a good work by exposing the real truth, and give a message of hope through his Kingdom message.

But you do kill - you kill your own, by not allowing blood transfusions.

Does not matter how you try and portray this, the simple truth is, most of the JW who die from not being allowed blood - could have been saved.
So therefore your religion is guilty of murder.

Blood is very dangerous, so we request the best medical treatment possible.

‘Either you accept a blood transfusion or you will die.’

Jehovah’s Witnesses often run into such reasoning because of their Bible-based decision to ‘abstain from blood’ in any form. (Acts 15:29)

The weakness of this line of reasoning?

It excludes other valid possibilities.

The facts show that there are alternative treatments, and most operations can be performed successfully without blood.

Skilled doctors often operate with a minimal loss of blood.

Another possibility is the use of nonblood fluids, plasma volume expanders.

Furthermore, many have taken blood transfusions and died.

By the same token, many have refused blood and lived.

The hole in the either/or reasoning is thus a gaping one.

Will the real DCE please stand up :D:D:D

I have long suspected DCE was a troll. I did think he was a member of the jehovah's witness cult, and even given the statistical proof of their lack of intelligence in comparison to others, a function of their rejection of higher education as the work of satan, I could still never quite reconcile just how ignorant DCE was.

What I mean is, for a man who claims to have studied the Bible for 35 years, and been a member of an ultra conservative religious cult for a similar length of time, he has ZERO knowledge of hermeneutics, exegesis, Greek, Latin, Hebrew, Theology or Philosphy, never mind church history.

He also claims to be '' in the legal profession'' and yet the only post on the entire site where he gave legal advice has been roundly ridiculed and is completely wrong. Couple that with the fact that the people I know in the legal profession have an excellent command of the english language and are on the whole very intelligent people. They are also very well schooled in latin and philosophy.

Now, once again, I was about to post up that his response was, for the upteenth time, cut and pasted directly from yahoo answers: see here for where he took it word for word - scroll down to the reply from ''knowledge''.. it's word for word.... and then it hit me .......

I kept pointing out the obvious that he was cutting and pasting, but I wasnt asking the right question!!! Why oh why would someone with more than three decades of intimate knowledge of the scriptures and the jehovah witnesses, have to keep going to yahoo answers and other sites for a cut and paste response???????? :D

And then, like in the movies, where the scenes are replayed, but now are focused in on just one corner of the scene and you see an entirely different picture...... I thought about his claims to be in the legal profession but hasnt a clue, never answers any legal questions on the board, and when he did, it was laughed off the forum..... his grammar and synthax and punctuation which is dreadful, but also, not consistent... it's like it's written by several different people..... how even when ''they'' try to disguise it as ''conversational'', it's cut and pasted directly from somewhere else and never credited ..... how he simply cannot engage in a debate ...... how he doesnt know the first thing about scripture ......... How he or they will never ever answer a question ..... he or they constantly run from questions, and here's why, theyre questions they cant answer because theyre not questions google will throw up a one or two line answer for!!!!! They require KNOWLEDGE and the application of knowledge, not cutting and pasting !!!!!

And so it's become patently obvious to me now.... DCE is NOT a jehovah's witness, and doesnt know the first gawd damn thing about them, or the Bible or law, or anything else.... which is why he has spends ages trying to summarise whatever is in the post to form a question to put into yahoo answers, which he or they then copy and paste as their reply!!!!

...he's a troll created by someone here, or ''he'' is a bunch of bored high school kids p1ssing about trying to get a reaction and entertaining themselves, which could explain why the grammar etc is so different depending on who's replying .... or, it's a couple of people from here, with a shared log in for ''his'' account, and theyre just having a right old laugh with the consternation he causes

PWNED DCE as my kids might say

Just other Witnesses answering the same sort of questions Parth, I don't do Yahoo myself.

You really do need a Bible study Parth, I will come down for a couple of days, and go through it with you, from your own Bible, I don't mind staying in a hotel, whilst you have your study, just to qualify what the Bible is really saying.

I understand your are retired, so you have plenty of time on your hands, so it should not be a problem, for you.

I have a vast library of information on all aspects of the Bible which I have accumulated over many years, of study, so if there is any particular subject you are interested in , I could bring that down as well.

Looking forward to meeting you Parth should you decide to have a study.

Hey Kett,

If you're a Christian it will flow into everything you do.

Keep your identity and values, I think they're great.

Thanks for your post.

So are you suggesting that if there was no religion then there would be no charity, NHS or state institutions? If so then I would contend that this is nonsense!

No. It was simply my contention that the claim that religion only did harm was false.

Both myself and NHS were born in 1948. The NHS was Welsh miner Nye Bevan's baby. Bevan was a left wing socialist who had no real religious affiliations so it had absolutely nothing to do with religion.

As is this, in point of fact; the actual plans for the service owed everything to Beveridge (a Christian) but they were implemented by Nye. I also think you're not really engaging with Nye's thought if you remove it from a nonconformist socialist tradition.

Funny how organs can be rejected in the same way blood can be. They don't mind organ swapping though do they. It's got nothing to do with disease. They are a bunch of liars.

I do hope if there is some sort of afterlife and these idiots don't get in.

Will you get it?

(John 17:3) 3*This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.

A bible study is important, as we see from this scripture.

Does anyone realise that Jesus satisifed the diagnostic criteria of paranoid schizophrenia:

hallucinations: hearing or seeing God, Satan, demons, and angels;
delusions of grandiosity: belief that he is the salvific Christ/Messiah with miraculous powers and apocalyptic foreknowledge;
delusions of persecution: temptation by Satan; opposition by demons;
an insidious reduction in external relations and interests: nomadic asceticism; estrangement from his family.

Nope. Never heard that one before

As opposed to, say, Moses, having conversations with burning bushes, and who's megalomaniacal slaughtering of women and children and grandeous ideas of nation building under divine command, was, well, perfectly normal by comparison.

Have you ever thought that business and money are unChristian that there might be a way we are to live that is not greed motivated?

Giving money to charity of the Church is a conscience saver but does not mitigate the sin.

Christians are to come out of the world. Our life is to be a light to the world by demonstrating a life guided by a superior technology. We are to build not exploit community.

If business is run with God in mind, there is nothing wrong with business at all. Money is not evil, it is the worship of it that is. One of the guidelines of business is that we have to pay our taxes. Because it is high and something that many do not like doing, many business people try to get away from paying it. Jesus said "pay to Ceasar what is Ceasar's and to God what is God's.

Because there is much struggling or much greed, there is an awful lot of people acting wrongly be it deliberately or not - bills not being paid, deliberately changing what was agreed, "cheque is in the post" etc etc. There is a lot of dishonesty.

It is not the business that is wrong but the person running the business or a person that the business owner has done work for. It is so sad to see businesses going under as a result of someone else not paying for work done.

You are right but ultimately the business owner faces a contradiction. Money is paper and worthless. It is our hearts that make it what it is in this world. THe need to turn a profit forces us to look at money as something desireable. This would be immaterial if we were expected/forced to by circumstance to use money. But there is an alternative way of building community than using money.

The majority of business owners are good people and they do a lot that is positive. But the use of money creates too much evil regardless of who uses it. It ultimately belongs to Ceaser and is a tool of the devil.

I am not saying do not start your business but also start a community group and exchange what you have with others keeping accounts but not exchanging money. It is a simple process and can be done with hard copy accounts of about 7 columns or with debit cards. WHen a community tracks exchanges using personal accounts economic development is automatic and local.

Exactly, this is why Christians are Christians and cults are cults. Christians accept Jesus is exactly who he says he is. Cults say he is a good person with extraordinary powers but this is nonesense. He is either God or crazy. But read about him and tell me he acted anything other than supremely sane (a supremely sane God).

Money is minted by the State and belongs to the State. Capitalism is State administrated and belongs to the State. The only thing that is not Ceaser's is civil society. It is possible to turn the informal economy of civil society (friends help friends) into a formal economy (assets/exchanges are tracked) by use of an asset card. No money required or allowed.

Is it not the case that christians actually accept Jesus for who somebody said he said he was? We have no evidence other than an very old book written by [who the hell knows] that Jesus actually said anything. The overwhelming balance of probability is that Jesus never said anything of the sort and if he actually did say anything it has been twisted, warped, mistranslated and cynically manipulated for two millennia.

On what do you base these statements? Your assumptions? The ible is the most well attested to book over a few hundred years old. It has been verified so many different ways I cannot go into them all but this information is available for those who care to test their beliefs against scientific data. Contrary to belief .. it is athiests who are the most worried about scientific facts regarding God. There is not a Christian I know or read who is the least worried about putting his faith under the scrutiny of science).

The overwhelming balance of probability is that Jesus never said anything of the sort and if he actually did say anything it has been twisted, warped, mistranslated and cynically manipulated for two millennia.

The respected historian Will Durant reasoned with respect to Jesus Christ “That a few simple men [who called themselves Christians] should in one generation have invented so powerful and appealing a personality, so lofty an ethic and so inspiring a vision of human brotherhood, would be a miracle far more incredible than any recorded in the Gospels.”

So BDW could a mythical character—a person who never really lived—have affected human history so remarkably?

The reference work The Historians’ History of the World observed: “The historical result of [Jesus’] activities was more momentous, even from a strictly secular standpoint, than the deeds of any other character of history.

A new era, recognised by the chief civilisations of the world, dates from his birth.” Think about it.

Even some calendars today are based on the year that Jesus was thought to have been born. “Dates before that year are listed as B.C., or before Christ,” explains The World Book Encyclopedia. “Dates after that year are listed as A.D., or anno Domini (in the year of our Lord)

By his dynamic teachings and by the way he lived his life in harmony with them, Jesus has powerfully affected the lives of untold multitudes of people for nearly two thousand years.

As one writer aptly expressed it: “All the armies that ever marched, and all the navies that ever were built, and all the parliaments that ever sat, all the kings that ever reigned, put together have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully.” Still, say the critics: ‘All that we really know about Jesus is found in the Bible.

No other contemporary records concerning him exist.’ Yet, is this true?

Although references to Jesus Christ by early secular historians are meager, such references do exist.

Cornelius Tacitus, a respected first-century Roman historian, wrote that the Roman emperor Nero ‘fastened the guilt for the burning of Rome on Christians,’ and then Tacitus explained: “The name [Christian] is derived from Christ, whom the procurator Pontius Pilate had executed in the reign of Tiberius.” Suetonius and Pliny the Younger, other Roman writers of the time, also made mention of Christ.

In addition, Flavius Josephus, a first-century Jewish historian, wrote in Antiquities of the Jews regarding the death of the Christian disciple James. Josephus said in explanation that James was “the brother of Jesus, who was called Christ.”
