OMG what were the girls thinking last night, I mean come on WTF?? A book stand for the beach! 15 pieces

Apart from a crap product....

The team from Boots wanted an exclusive deal...just how badly did they want to screw their customers?

The PM turned down the exclusive deal and still did not get fired...

Was it a case of the pretty one made better television?

I must admit - i was shocked at the product and the amount of pieces it came in! I would have thought the logical solution would be the collapsable linked rods that you find in tents. At least it would be a more viable crap product!

The PM made a huge error in not accepting the exclusivity - in the same way as did anyone in the room for not butting in and pulling her aside, and saying 'Look, it is crap - they are a main player, they want it, lets talk numbers now'

I think the one voted off went more because she was a quiet one at the back, who sat back and let things happen, and lacked a little in confidence. She may have shone later - who knows? Some people do take a while to settle in....but by being that way, she lent herself perfectly to cannon fodder.

the PM should have gone last night.
Out of her depth at 22.

In regards to who will win.

I think the guy on the other team, who came up with the idea for the cuuli, towel with coolbag erm whats his name will potentially win.

Jamie I think.

For the challenge, the PM did make the wrong choice, by not allowing Boots exclusivity. HOWEVER, if this was not the Apprentice, she was thinking along the right lines, as it was a product that they could put into other shops and do better.. I think she lost her mind-set of what she was in the meeting for, and thought outside the box.. Wrong choice at the time, as it could have won them the task..

IMO lasts loosing team lost becuase of the manufacturering team, although I think the split was wrong, I think there should have been 4 making and 2 selling, if not 1 selling.

But as soon as the order was given, they said I'm not doing that, instead of getting it done.

But the blond team leader was bloody lucky if you had me, she was crap, normally if your that cobby you should be able to back it up, but she was hunrendous, nice of Sir Alan to pick that up, and make a point they didn't win becuase of her.

Or one selling and five baking. Don't see why it needs more than one person given that the appointments are consecutive not simultaneous.

Like the Council, they always come round in pairs doing surveys and chasing peoples' Electoral Roll forms.

The contestants on this programme are so unbusiness minded, it's untue. Unless you've actually run your own business, instead of being someone within a corporate heirarchy, you're not going to manage these tasks easily which is what the show keeps demonstrating.

Yes, why does it need three people to make a 'pitch'?
Part of our nation's attitude perhaps that selling is somehow more important than production.
And would you not have the following info at hand: products available, quantities available, price list with discount for quantity. Rather than keep the MD sat like a lemon for 15 minutes it would be more professional to drop a price list in at reception and use your time better in the kitchen. But don't price rolls at £1.82!
When you do get an order with a first time customer, whatever you do, make sure it is done on time and to his requirements! Basic stuff.

also, shutting the baker at the time the did, was it midnight I thought was a bit daft, if I had been the team leader I would have asked to extent it and work into the night.

its a rented bakery so at midnight it has to return and to normal orders for the morning. a baker works early hours and not so much throughout the day, especially on breads and other short life fresh items. bigger companies generally produce longer shelf life items so work day or 24hr

I understand that, but in order to be able to fullfill there orders they should have had as much time as possible, not a cut off time way ahead of time.

I think chris will win, if he can manage a task in the same way he manager the manufacturing last night, although not sure he would have been able to manage the other team in the same way, he only got away with doing that becuase the PM was carp.

It probably started baking the 1,000 rolls for the hotel after midnight to make up for the ones they knew team couldn't deliver.
they should have baked the order first, not started it last, but if the had started at midnight they would have still been able to get it done in 5 hours, its an industrial cook line, I bet they make more than 1,000 rolls an hour when they are baking. Mix dough, cut and place, then bake, its very simple stuff, and the more they do of the same thing the easier it is and more efficient.

a different view - has anyone thought how tricky it must be to perform in this programme. We just see it on our tv screen. The participents would be surrounded by tv crew at every turn.....its not a normal business enviroment, doing this prog sounds like a living hell to me and fair play to those that applied and got the places...

Paloma shocking.
She actually wanted to order even more bakery goods when the PM who went said no.

She had no clue in terms of what their team could manage.
But I totally agree with the team layout, they dont need 3 to pitch.

The other team,
That melissa blonde, woeful, utter woeful..

From last nights episode,

I still think Jamie, The marine guy(Chris was it?)?

No woman is sticking out at all, the blonde haired bloke wont last long.
Lots of the woman havent done anything yet.

But to turn up to a baker with 16 rolls? What on earth were they doing for that amount of time?

I was praying that the melissa team would loose. I really cannot abide that girl. She is all mouth! When that guy was pitching to be PM, she was in the background butting in, saying 'so can i' after everything he said - as soon as she was given the position, she crumbled and fell silent! It did not improve either, when he advised her to sort her fugures out in the car, she wouldn't - then pitched like fools with no idea of costing, size or any vague idea of what they were selling - torture! So bad, she needed to go!

But the other team failed on the hotel contract - why on earth they did not get that out of the door first, and then bang out muffins i will never know. They made baguettes they did nothing with, so why couldn't they have just made them rolls!! Stupid mistake.

That said, they pitched well, upsold but failed to communicate and work as a team. Had that chris from the other team been in charge of their kitchen, they would have been sorted!

You just wait for later episodes when melissa tries to take credit for the win......even Lord Alan knows she had little to do with it - but she will take the credit at some point!

I have to say the right person went, and even on the your fired show, although that person started off as though they had changed, I felt by the end infact she had tried to look as though they had changed, but you could their true attidude and opinions hadn't, and in fact they couldn't see their errors and still thought they were far superior and something they were simply useless at, didn't listern and didn't learn.

TBH IMO i think their previous job was call calling presure sales, which ripped vunreable people off and then thought they had done a good job. (thats not fact, just my opinion)

Hmmm yes Melissa, the 'food management' person who goes to see a hotel to sell them some bread rolls and fifteen minutes on a calculator says she can do them for £1.82 each!!!!

Completely mind boggling, anyone not even in the wholesale food industry using common sense you know they are looking to pay pence not pounds!!!
