Add text to a pdf, then save and print

I need to send a form to our suppliers by email. They then add some text to it and print it off. It has to be by PDF.

Can this be done? Will I need to buy Adobe reader at about £10 a month?

I think the drawing program in Libre Office lets you type on pdfs.

Can you clarify, I'm not sure I am reading this right. Do they send you the PDF form first? Why do you care about THEM adding text, thats their issue? I'm a little confused.

pdfescape.com might do the job.

I use pdfescape.com for this, as well as pdfbuddy.com

We do this time - they to us and us to them. You just send the PDF and they (who ever that might be) just places the PDF onto a page in whatever programme they use (horrible Word, lovely InDesign, or anything else) and place a text block over the bank spaces. Export as new PDF.

BTW, you can download CS2 from Adobe for free by logging on and downloading, as they no longer want to provide tech support for CS2, as it is now over 10 years old.

So I don't get the issue you have.

You have a PDF
You send it to Them
They have a program you don't care about and overwrite boxes of text
They send the PDF back to you

So where is the issue? Sorry I still don't understand from your flow.

Are you saying that you need to add boxes yourself too at some point?

Thanks Alan. Everyone has worked it out.

I want to send someone a pdf form which has some fields in they need to fill out. Eg Name. They add that info into the form and then save the pdf and print it out.

Why doesn't matter thanks. It was just the process.

Ah ha, Why didn't you just say that you needed to create an editable PDF form? The flow doesn't matter and the reason doesn't matter.

It was Adobe reader that confused me, as I you would need Acrobat or the current cloud equivalent. Obviously the cheaper way than the current subscription suite is to get an older version, and you seem to have that covered.
