I started working through the list yesterday, so I have just signed up with Digg. I have tracked down a couple of relevant articles on Digg and commented on them. It is a bit of a confusing website - I will update people if I get any traffic from it.

Okay signed up to Digg and I have made a couple of comments on relevant threads. I will see it it generates any traffic. I think I will leave the other sites suggested on point 1 for now. Next point is to create a Yahoo group. I belong to BT Yahoo so I guess that I am able to do this. I just need to work out how.

Advertise your site on Craiglist. It's free, relevant and localised. Not only craiglist but other free classified ads on which you can advertise or promote your site including Gumtree , Adoos, MSN Live Expo and Yahoo Classified Ads.

Well Monday was a high for the last month on my site following signing up for Digg on Saturday and spending a couple of hours finding relevant content to comment on. However that only took my traffic up to 8 from an average of 5, so it isn't a quick fix.

If you add an article, and it gets dugg, thats when yo get some serious traffic. If you make it onto the front page, most websites will crash, due to the sheer demand.

Infact, it happens so much, DIgg has to cache a site before adding it.

Tips given for making of a good site are excellent. If a site has already been made does it require that we have to submit our details to search engine. If the same is done then is it the inner pages are also required to be submitted or is it that they automatically crawled by search engine.
Please let me know.

There's no need to submit your site to a search engine. A few well placed links will get your site indexed soon enough. If you do submit your site manually, then you only need to submit the domain and the rest of the site will be crawled.
