Apologies but i have yet another question ;)

What the view on tag clouds?
Do they improve seo or just make websites look spammy?

Regards
Andy

Looking at it from the wrong perspective. If it improves the usability of the site then add one. Doubt if there is any seo value since it is dynamic.

I don't have enough personal data to give a response to this as a tried and tested method.

Personally though, I don't think it is a problem if the links are relevant.

BTW: Forget Google ... as long as it can basically read your site, it'll pay overall if you focus on producing something the user loves ;)

I thought the same but im sure i saw on another forum that google loves them :|

"Google loves this" -That's phrase puts me right off. Google does not "Love" it's a search engine.

Do you believe eveything you read? They're just links and words, nothing "magic" about them. If the word are useful you should already have them in the important places on your site anyway.

No need for the sarky reply......

I was only repeating what i read & as i have very little knowledge & was asking for others views on the question i asked re tag clouds not whether 'i believe everything that i read'
But thanks for the input anyhow :D:D:D

tag clouds certainly help search engines index pages faster, especially those with no links from any other pages on your site.

i've got them on my sites in my signature, and seem to work well for spiders and bots.
