You can do few things

1. List your business on B2B Portals like Alibaba
2. Make a website and list your product with good quality content
3. Keyword Research for SEO and Ad campaigns like Bing ads and Google

indeed - and writing a blog that enhances a business without a ton of advertising within the blog takes a bit of doing.
does not even need to be on the subject of the business though good if its of interest to the customers of that type of business or interesting in general.

Specifically:

The place of taxation is determined by where the services are supplied. This depends not only on the nature of the servicesupplied but also on the status of the customer receiving the service. A distinction must be made between a taxable person acting as such (a business acting in its business capacity) and a non-taxable person (a private individual who is the final consumer).

A taxable person is:

The concept of a taxable person covers anyone who independently carries out an economic activity, even if that person is not identified for VAT purposes, but it also includes a non-taxable legal person identified for VAT purposes [Article 43 of the VAT Directive].

In other words this includes any business even if not VAT registered but also VAT registered individuals.

The general rule:

The supply of services between businesses (B2B services) is in principle taxed at the customer's place of establishment

Assuming the services supplied by Amazon full under this general rule (I believe they would), then the place of supply is the UK and Amazon should not have charged LU VAT. They may ask for a VAT number to prove your business status but you should be able to provide alternative that you are acting as a business.

It will be interesting to see how it turns out - especially if the merchant fights it.

Bit confused about the "retained deposit" though. Do you mean you paid £99 for the item (so payment, not deposit)? Or did you put a deposit down (bit weird for online purchase)? And isn't it only £20 at stake if they are only withholding 20%...? or was the product price more than £99?

Hi John, slightly different take on your question. You have identified what you want - to make more money - but you have not identified what is stopping using business from currently doing this. It might seem tempting to change your website platform, but if you don't understand why your business isn't earning twice as much as it is, you could make yourself into a busy fool changing platform or doing ineffectual SEO. Thanks. At least it answers my question.
As far as profits are concerned its quite hard because i've had some people let me down. I've had meetings with potential clients ,as far as i was concerned they would go well. They'd give me the impression they were happy to use my service,even writing figures down and saying what date they want me to start from.And discussing the keys . Then i later get a message to say they have found a family member to do the job and sorry for the inconvenience. This has happened at last 3 times.
Yet they see positive reviews for me on my profiles.
I have 4 regular clients who are always happy with my service.
I have tried getting business through putting a flyer in several shop windows and posting business cards through doors. Even paying for ads on Facebook. I get likes but no business.
I tend to get more money petsitting ,but it is only really on a casual basis.
I use my car to do my jobs. Going to petsitting jobs is fine as most are local,but the dog walking is about 4 miles away and they don'yt pay me enough to make it worth my while. I try to get dog walking in the same areas so i have more than 2 dogs to walk at a time but no one seems to want my service. I could keep trying but losing hope now.
Someone asked me to House-Sit while looking after their dog for a week but as i have children i had to turn it down being a single parent.

partnership query

Seems the OP has made the all too common mistake of conflating share ownership (get dividends) with being a Director/running a company (get paid a salary). The shares are like anything else you own... yours and they can be left to your kids (regardless of if they work in the company.)

And the reason for giving away your kids inheritance is because, at some future date, there MAY be a problem? Way to tell your son you have faith in his abilities.

Voucher Sites & Fake Discount Codes

What websites are doing so? First up are they affiliates? If they are tell them to remove or drop them.

As someone else also said you can make your own page on coupons and get this to rank so when people search for it they find yours at the top of the results.

If you hit them up and they won't remove them you can also hit up John Mu on Twitter (he's the public face of Google search) and say X sites are ranking for keywords using fake coupons. I have seen him pass on info before to the search engineers to improve what they do. They can also instigate manual reviews of sites and penalise them but wouldn't hold out much hope of that.
