what is the best method to grow online catering equipment business?

Advertising, advertising and even more advertising.

There are loads of companies , leasing and renting catering equipment. If you want to join their ranks you need to compete on level terms and that means spending a load of cash on marketing.

What type of catering equipment?

You need to go niche, focus on a particular product that solves a problem and then identify then audience that product.

If you start marketing generic catering equipment or bidding on 'catering equipment' as a keyword on Google Adwords then you will be broke in no time.

Think about why people NEED your product, how it can change their life and why you are better than the rest.

Sell the solution to the problem, not the product.

Another area you should look at when growing a business is cost control. If you are able to reduce your manufacturing costs you are able to compete more easily against other suppliers. One area you may wish to consider in this regard is outsourcing to overseas suppliers - of course many companies do this and maybe you are already doing it too, but if not it is certainly an avenue I would look at.

Find the target market and advertise the products.
Sometimes, go to the exhibition to find someone who needs it.

So you are aiming to compete with Amazon business listings, Nisbets, plus a host of other long established catering equipment online retailers? Good luck with that.

Hi Benjamin, you need to consider how to add more value to your customs than your competitors. A lot of businesses struggle because they try to compete on price instead of adding value which the customer is willing to pay more for. For instance, depending on what you're selling could you add in an informational Ebook on recipes, how to use it, examples of what other people have used it for. I'd recommend using a site that offers these as a lead in and captures and-mail address that you can then remarket to. Over time customers will buy more from you as they get more value from your emails.
