Distributor who can fulfil single pick online orders direct to end user

I have a slightly unusual requirement that is not proving easy to find a solution for. We import and wholesale hard goods and have been approached by a retailer who wishes to sell one of our brands online, but wants to deal with us through a distributor who can own and house the stock, and fulfil the online orders directly to their customers. There seems to be plenty of fulfilment companies who can house the stock and fulfil the orders, but not many distributors who will own the stock and fulfil the orders. I know this is a bit like asking for the penny and the bun, but does anyone know of a solution that could work for us?

You need to find a distributor in the UK.

The distributor then needs to be introduced to your prospect.

If distributor does not fulfil single picks or DS. Prospect needs to solve the matter, not you.

Sounds like you sell to another retailer who can pick and pack for the first retailer.
No idea why ownership needs to be someone else.

I suspect what they mean is that they don't want to own the stock. Why dont you do the fulfilment yourself?

You want a distributor who will buy your stock, then hope the retailer sells it ?

Unless I've misunderstood the question, why would any sane business person want to buy a load of stock and then just sit on it until someone else sells it?
