Access to website dilemma. Where do we stand?

What if I were to redirect UKBF users to a competing service. Would I be in breach of the following (found in UKBF Terms)?
@eteb3 is correct with regards to UKBF, but I was actually talking about my core business and the online platform we have built and supply. Business Data Group and our eFiling product.

UKBF is a pet sideline of mine, it's not my business I draw from. A TLDR story, after our price comparison venture failed with UKBF a couple of years back, my investors gave the instruction to pull the plug on UKBF and all associated assets, so I bought it from the business to keep it live. So today I self-fund it so it doesn't disappear.

Dental agency start up

Hi Chris, I have worked a a dental nurse since 2019, and 2023 I worked for agencies and thought about it for a while and not actioned it, I skilled up and got my AET and IQA, and currently work for training centre, support and teaching, due to injury 2024, I had to move away from, working in surgery and concentrated on my training work.
In October 2024 I started considering agency and I already had contacts for surgeries,
November start agency, with website, insurance policies,
I am currently recruiting and looking for tips for areas I may of not considered for recruiting. We have some nurses on our books, but need to expand it.
As part of your marketing plan have you identified why dental staff should use your services rather than your established competitors - what can you offer them that others don't?

What advertising and marketing have you already put in place ?

Extended Producer Responsibility - We pay on your behalf

Sorry - been crazy busy and forgot to check for posts!

Yes I am afraid you have no choice. You have to register for EPR, although Amazon can handle the rest of it through their managed 'we pay on your behalf' service. It isn't Amazon's fault this time - it is EU nonsense (but coming to the UK soon unfortunately.)

Make sure you have also edited the manufacturer and 'responsible person' details too on each listing or they will be taken down for that too.

Product Description's when you need to upload 38,000 new SKU's

Thanks

I doubt I would get the sort of discount I would need to make it viable with over 1 million sku's
presumably you have some known variables for each product? Red, cotton, egpytion, size xl, v neck - for a tshirt. Use python to process the data, create title, description, etc - manage randomness, etc.

What would you pay for a tool that could process 1M SKUs?

DM me if you want to chat about it.

Farm shop help

Our biggest problem is our unit is very small
What's the actual size? We have several Farm shops round these parts but only one is fully enclosed. The others display a lot their produce under various covers outside, market barrows and canopies etc., and clear them every night. Inside they sell artisan sauces, refrigerated goods, cheese etc.,
the wholesale meat shop sells to both but they only sell big packs of meat for instance 50 sausages,8 sirloins etc
Buster beat me to it again:D but if you could sell their goods in smaller quantities it's a win win.

Air-bnb Still a viable business model in London?

You are all correct with your comments. When it comes to investing in STRs,

investor look at a number of things
  • Your portfolio is aligned with local regulations I.e. 90 days restrictions etc
  • Ease of transaction I.e no one likes Long winded agreements
  • ROI (very important)
  • Most are attracted by how ethical it is. I.e. if part of your proceeds supports a good cause
For Service user:
  • Proximity to meetings, study, work and entertainment
  • Most users who go for STRs love the idea of self catering, Privacy and flexibility
  • Some times cheaper than the hotel
For the service provider
  • Creating and growing a brand
  • ROI and consistent cash flow. This becomes a part of your pension in the long term
But it all depends on how create and manage the business model, how you manage the cost involved as mentioned earlier.
Your problem is that you don't provide any value to investors as you have no experience in the STR market and aren't clearly able to articulate what skills, experience and assets you bring to an investment.

Why wouldn't an investor just work directly with an experienced STR manager who has the skills and experience they need rather than you who would just add costs and bring no value .

Hi from Anais&Aimee

Hi, and welcome to the forum - do join in, contribute and ask questions

You product looks good. If I may offer a couple of pointers on marketing:

Make it concise - nobody wants to read an essay! (More accurate, they only want to read more if something has grabbed their attention)

You must put full business details on your website - not only is it a legal requirement, it's essential for trust in a value purchase like this.

Export from Onenote on work or school account

Here are the practical ways to export notes from OneNote to Evernote, depending on what version you’re using and how many notes you have.

Unfortunately, there is no direct built-in OneNote → Evernote export, so we rely on workarounds.

Option 1 — Best for large migrations (Windows desktop OneNote)

Use OneNote Export + Evernote Import

Step 1: Export from OneNote (Windows app only)

This works with OneNote for Windows (desktop, not the Store app)

  1. Open OneNote (desktop version)
  2. Click File → Export
  3. Choose:
    • Notebook / Section / Page
    • Export format: PDF or DOCX
  4. Export files to a folder

Step 2: Import into Evernote

  1. Open Evernote (desktop app)
  2. Go to File → Import
  3. Select the exported PDFs or Word files
  4. Evernote will create notes from each file

⚠️ Limitations:

  • Formatting mostly preserved
  • No tags transferred
  • No internal OneNote links
  • Handwritten notes become images

Option 2 — Best for keeping formatting (Manual copy)

Good for smaller notebooks.

  1. Open a OneNote page
  2. Select all (Ctrl+A)
  3. Copy
  4. Paste into a new Evernote note

Preserves:

  • Text
  • Basic formatting
  • Images

Does NOT preserve:

  • Tags
  • Section structure
  • Metadata

Option 3 — Cloud automation (Semi-automated)

Using Zapier or Power Automate

You can auto-send new notes from OneNote to Evernote:

Example flow:

  • Trigger: New OneNote page created
  • Action: Create note in Evernote

⚠️ Good for forward-sync, not full history migration

Option 4 — Third-party tools (Paid / semi-reliable)

Some tools claim OneNote → Evernote migration, but reliability varies:

  • MultCloud
  • CloudHQ
  • NoteJoy Importer

⚠️ Often:

  • Paid
  • May miss formatting
  • Privacy tradeoffs

How do you guys actually track LTV properly? Feel like I'm miscalculating big time

This is exactly why I ditched most of my paid traffic sources last year. Was paying €65-80 per depositor on Google Ads and calculated I needed at least €180 LTV to make it work with all the other costs factored in. Problem was those players had way lower retention than organic - like 30-40% lower. Ended up with actual LTV around €110-130 which meant I was losing money on every player. Shifted budget to SEO and content, took longer to scale but the unit economics actually work now.

Struggling to pay back a LTD company tax bill

HMRC changed the rules around this particular scheme the following year or 2 (can't remember when) and the tax accountant who set it up, liquidated his business and was unreachable.
Quelle Surprise! They always do a disappearing act when the proverbial sh***t hits the fan.

Just like all those dodgy umbrella companies structuring employment pay as loans..... nowhere to be seen when HMRC close the scheme down and go after the employees.

Ecommerce platforms

Hey everyone, I'm new here so realise I'm a bit late to the party but found this thread really interesting! There are some B2B specific platforms around these days which are gaining popularity - obviously they're not as established as the likes of Magento and WooCommerce, but they are much more suited to the B2B use case - for example they support multi-site customers, customer-specific pricing, credit limits etc out of the box and they usually integrate well with ERPs and accounting systems, which is a massive plus!
WooCommerce and Magento still dominate the space, but these niche players are definitely worth looking at!

Looking for insight into filing a small claim against amazon.com (US) from the UK

According to AG if they do ultimately compensate you its ONLY for your pure cost price NOT the retail price. BUT if the stock later shows up, they sell your stock at the retail price ahead of your own product stock and KEEP the difference - they profit at your expense!

So you not only lose out on the lost stock, future revenue also hit by the retail value of that stock.

Its absolutely shocking but they have such a strangle hold on retail its hard to ignore them.
