Hello, we are a relatively new company. We install security cameras. Perhaps you could share your experience, which cctv cameras you have and use? It would be nice to hear your opinion and experience. We have already tried several companies and now it is time to choose one with which we will work continuously. So we decided not to be guided by advertising companies created by the company, but by customer experience.
thanks in advance for the answers.

Hikvision are what we usually install. They are reasonably priced and are decent enough quality. You can get more expensive and cheaper, but we get no complaints with these.
My wife works in support for one of their main distributors - only issue at all is you cant use them in some settings (public sector) due to their use in China.

Unlike some of the other brands she supports I havent heard her swearing about these

I wanted something that had vehicle, person and animal detection, had very good night vision, and also connected to the Internet for remote watching and also send "critical" alerts to mobile phone. (Critical alerts bypass DND and silence on phone so you still hear and see them)

Ended up going for Reolink which is working well.

@House Safety When you wrote your business plan and did all of your supplier research, before starting the business, what did you find?

please dont change my quotes - it makes me look like I have said things i didnt

Hikvision is only an issue if you are in a sensitive or public sector site. They have many features that you can't replicate with competitors at anywhere nr the same price point.

I know this as my wife was tearing her hair out yesterday with a customer who was saying (they are an installer) they had to replace all the cameras at a site by the end of Feb but wanted like for like performance - the ONLY manufacturer whose cameras were software compatible with a some of the features needed (and in place at present) is Korean and has a 6 week backlog in production (let alone delivery).

Extra bit of info - if you want ANPR functionality you need 3 pixels per cm at the point where the number plate will be
