What webcam with a microphone

Hi,
Not a business question, although i suppose it could be used for business. So i am hoping one of you experts on here can suggest what to get....
I want to buy a webcam with a microphone for my dad (80) as he is having trouble hearing over the phone and i think seeing an image might help. Anyway i have never used Skype etc so i am a complete novice as to how it works and what is best. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to go for, i would need to buy a pair (one for me and one for him). The only other consideration is that my broadband speed is pants (3Mbps) his is fine.

Your broadband speed is going to make this uncomfortable. what kind of computer does he have and how computer savvy? My mum now has broadband and an iPad - she cannot make Skype or any of the other services work - just confuses her. Just tapping, clicking and swiping is a problem. I assume you dad's is a desktop not a laptop, as in why he doesn't have a webcam, so what's he like with the mouse?

Yes he has a PC with windows 10 and should be OK using it (fingers crossed). Do you really think i will have trouble? Thinking about it the download stream should be ok as we can use and stream netfix etc. However the uploading might be an issue as that's only about 0.3-0.5Mps. I supose i will have to try and see what happens.

That's where it will fall over - if it does. If you set his machine up with a desktop icon, he can click on, it should be fine - I'd suggest Skype as that is the easiest to get to grips with for non-computer people.

Try c920 it's a stereo audio,auto focus and auto light correction and it's not expensive.

Most of the webcams have microphones these days. Check Amazon for popular and affordable webcams.
