Hi Guys, New here and my first post.
Whilst I check out the forums I would really appreciate a review of my website please

We are a small family owned ice cream roll company and have been operating since 2018.

Upon starting our target customer was individuals at street food markets etc.

Since lockdown our target market has been B2B with a few weddings in between.

Our customer base has now pivoted and is now corporate companies that would like to hire our services for events, exhibitions, conferences, brand activations and anyone who would just love to treat their employees with ice cream, so when you review the website I would like to take that into account.

At present it is being "fixed" sped up behind the scenes.

As soon as the site loaded I could see a number of glaring issues. But before launching into a review there are two questions:

1. What is your marketing plan? (as this drives the structure and content of the site)?

2. Did somebody build the site for you? (if they did that have made an almighty mess of things)

What you do is brilliant - never seen it before and it looks delicious. But the site needs quite a lot of work if you want to achieve your aim.

A quick test for you. Show the site to a complete stranger using your phone and ask them what you do.

1.I don't have a marketing plan per se although I post infrequently on social media channels eg Linkedin, Instagram
I send emails every couple of months from our database or so these are normally generic buy our services, discount emails rather than content emails.
We also exhibit at a large exhibition at Excel once a year.
And update blogs etc.
2. I built the website and get people to "fix it" and I update it every so often.

I have at the moment go someone to fix any issues, eg speed, optimization etc but if there are any pointers I would really appreciate it too.

Yourfacebook page with the vidoes on it really shows off what you do, so why doesn't your website?

@Jason. A marketing plan is crucial. It allows you to define your target client and how you get them to see your business. @Paul Carmen may be able to offere some advice here as that's his area of expertise.

When you post something or run some adverts or whatever you are already introducing the product. Which means anyone landing on your website already knows what you do. It follows that the thing you need to splash all over the homepage is the ice cream. Show me every flavour, every colour, every type of serving. Show me the rolls in corporate branded containers. Show me people eating the ice cream.

Sex it up. Make me really want an ice cream roll.

Then tell me how to book the stand for my corporate shindig.

Have pages for each event you attend. Show me pictures of the event. Tell me the story. Get people to tell you how much they enjoyed the ice cream. Show those videos.

Get rid of this sort of guff:

Bin that awful form you have and just have a simple callback form.

Get rid of all the animations. Bin all the third party scripts. And make it simple

TBH I have no idea why you need Elementor. A really simple theme will suffice.

I'd also bin the blog and replace with those case studies (the events you attended).

Also consider binnng the social media links. You want people to come from facebook not go to facebook.

But everything start with a marketing plan. Without this you will flounder.

I think that's enough for today. Lots for you to ponder.

Might be worth paying for someone to help you fix things.

And move the site off those servers in the USA onto someone in the UK.

Case studies was my next plan actually, but needed some case studies to progress.
It was for SEO purposes really and will take into account and reduce the gaff. at the end of the day i want people to come to my website, wow them and buy.

I like the concept, dislike the way it's presented. As suggested by @UKSBD get videos prominent on the site.

There are far too many entrance animations on every page.

The text shadow needs to go wherever it's been used. It looks messy.

It looks like you're using Elementor with OceanWP? There's no problem with using Elementor but you need a better, faster theme for page load speed. Changing theme is not the only change that needs to happen to speed the site up but you won't do it while using OceanWP.

It's a great product, you just need to make it mouth-watering on the site.

You're also not taking advantage of Socials Media nearly as much as you could.

Hi They found me on google, Superdry and Aston Martin F1 emailed me the same day.
I have heavily relied on SEO eg google search with Instagram to support any events I have done.

We do exhibit at a large exhibition show once a year though.
I have just joined Apollo to hopefully get leads.

I will invest in a lightbox to take more product images, when we go to events we are normally very busy to concentrate on photos etc and these are quite amateurish.

I'm now restructuring so the whole funnel and sales process is slick

Top one is some eu-cookie thing the bottom one is gdpr-privacy.

The bottom one hasn't been configured, is unnecessary and doesn't allow you to decline.

I suspect it's mixed up with the zillions of third party scripts (including doubleclick for some bizarre reason).

A lot do think it's crepes even in action and people (more than you can ever imagine) ask if it's "HOT"

Once it's just been made it is quite hard frozen and is easily eaten with fingers.
Once it starts to melt (ideal temp) then spoons are used.

It is quite a visually stunning product and will add more videos thank you

Hi, the idea is not unique and has been around at least in the UK is 8 years old.
The main reason why you don't see it so much is because it is very labour intensive.

Our ice cream base is local so we have a Unique ISP whereas my competitiors use UHT or a different quality of ice cream.

We have had some incredible opportunities approach us with many my head spinning in disbelief and losing some in one way or another, my sales, my pitch etc and made our ice cream in fantastic places.

One was to cost going to four different countries in Europe, over 4 different weekends, but ive worked on film sets with Danny Boyle, Tom Cruise, Indiana Jones, too.
So now going on 2024 im trying to complete the whole sales process pricing customer journey etc . still a one man band and then scale.

yes, i think Cold stone ice cream is older than Thai Ice cream but Thais like to make things beaufiful hence ice cream rolls came into place,

it is very difficult chopping up things like Mars bars etc as it freezes rock solid, its a lot easier to make things that mush up or crumble.
The main competitor has done really well, in licensing and has worldwide appeal. I'm hoping i can do that but there's a lot of work to go.

I recommend Neve. I use Elementor for all of my websites and Neve will help get you past Core Web Vitals. There are a couple of other plugins I use like Smush Pro (for Webp images).

You need to be using Flexbox Containers in Elementor (not Sections) and you need to switch off Google fonts and upload your own fonts.

Well that was a few days id never get back.

Decided on a new server so i moved back to my Domain provider Namecheap from Siteground.

Was a different set up to Cpanel, i tried doing it myself but got stuck on uploading everything, so Namecheap help was on call.
Then the site went down because of SSL's etc and Namecheap were on hand once again to help.

Then emails etc. Once again Namecheap were on hand 24/7, amazing service.

Made a few changes to the site eg contact and making content, have found a few corporate videos of where we attended too, so will embed those on new site.
Off today to take product images,(brought a lightbox) and more action videos.

I am playing around developing my site at the moment im using old siteground servers but maybe better off doing it on subdomain of namecheap

Avoid the likes of siteground and Namecheap. They are low cost for a reason.

Migrating a site is about as simple as it gets so no idea why you had issues. And decent hosts provide ssl as part of the service.

well its not so simple if have only done it a few times, was going from a different backend to cpanel, so i tried doing it myself etc but when i got stuck with databases etc they happily did it for me.

i think ssl is part of the service, there were some config issues because have I have gone through cloudfare before, think it was DNS configurations

I would look to carry out keyword research and optimise your websites pages for the keywords that people are searching. Below are some initial keywords that I would add to your website.

Thank you, i have many skills, I have someone creating a website for me, although I do enjoy techy stuff as a hobby. Whilst one is being made I have made the website quite a lot better and just a few more issues that I can see
