I recently needed to send some USD to China. Last time we used the bank, and experienced a hour long wait, a huge amount of paperwork, a £29 fee, an error, another £29 fee to fix the error, a five day delivery and a low exchange rate.
SO this time we tried something different and used Travelex. I have to say that I have been really impressed. The exchange rates is better today (even after the currency drops of last week) than that offered by the bank. The transfer was quicker.
But my big point is that for the first time in a long time I received absolutely exceptional customer services. And that even in an organisation where myself and my business must be the smallest of smallfry, I was made to feel as if my business was trueness valued.
Direct line telephone numbers, people that call back quickly, emails to confirm that everything has been done and processed. One person dealing effectively with your transaction all the way through.
I would thoroughly recommend - it's a shame that they don't do current accounts!!
