I''ve got to agree with freecybermag, Jo's been kept in for the ratings.

If this was a real "job interview", she'd have been first out.

Its beginning to look like a 2 horse race, which is pretty poor, given there are still another 9 episodes to go!

You have to ask what is Sugar looking for. Quite a few on the show have said they work on a strategy level - I thinks that's Sugars area and he want people who make stuff happen and react to changes rather than plan everything down to the n'th degree.

BTW the spell check on the Google Toolbar - Top Notch - now I dont care that they watch everything I write.

Jo should have been fired as she is a usless team leader. I appreciate earlier commnets about the other girls not respecting her, however if that is the case, it should have been Jo's mission to gain their respect. She is flustered, rude and stupid and should have been fired two weeks ago.
Sayed came up in my estimations this week, although he still fancies himself. As for Karen going that was a gross injustice. I have no idea why Jo picked either of the girls for the board sacking, it should have been that other blond with too much makeup on who was rude about her all the time. Even so....Jo should still have been sacked.

I thought she had no choice.

The other trio collected 7 items. Jo's trio collected 2.

Jo's only hope was to bring in her 2 partners and try to put all the blame on them. Which she did, and it worked for her.

I really thought Jo should have gone, her team leader skills were awful and so were the people in her part of the group, although I liked the way Alexa fought her corner at the end.

Though Syed proved himself with some good business and negotiation skills, should be interesting when the teams are split next week though!

Sugar obviously has a bit of a thing about Jo, but will sack her in the end. At the moment she serves to make the show more interesting.

There were women on that show last night I hadn't even seen before since they are so dull. No doubt they will come to the fore in later shows.

I dont really get why half of the people on this show are even there in the first place. Surely there are more driven people with ability and flair out there?

Exactly...so why the hell would they bother to go through this "joke" to get a job....or to work for alan sugar.

The more driven people will have better jobs, or more sense than to leave their job to do a tv show!!

Just my opinion

I think that's a given. But its a fun show and I think people could learn alot about what is expected of them in some places of work.

I certainly wouldn't want to be in their shoes or do the job they are expected to at the end.

As for Alexa, her voice is the most irritating thing I have ever heard.

By around 9.50 last night, it had done my brain in. I was glad to see the back of her.

I would have liked Sir Alan to treat it as something other than a game show and said to Syed and Tuan "let's be honest, I'm not going to give the job to either of you, either. So, let's not waste any more of each other's time".

The contestants are a poor bunch this time out (and I wasn't particularly impressed with series 1).

I keep putting up Michelle and Ansell as the only 2 with decent winning chances, but what have they done?

They've got ok personalities and shown a certain amount of professionalism and common sense. And they've kept out of the firing line.

The other 12 (or 11, Karen was ok) have been so bad that they couldn't even do that.

Do you think the failures will ever get jobs again?

Imagine employing a team of management consultants and Alexa turning up - "aren't you that drippy bird off The Apprentice?"

Half of them are still completely anonymous to me and we haven't seen much of them at all. the other half are really annoying.

We all know which ones are bound to be sacked but of course it can only happen at a rate of one a week. I believed it when Sir Alan said he would like to get rid of all three of them but couldn't.

So, goodbye wet as a flannel Alexa with her rabbit in the headlights shocked lock, little girl whisper and complete uselessness. I bet she has umpteen degrees and an MBA or something but she just can't function in a real business. God help any management consultant firm that sent me something like that - typical example of those who can, do, and those who can't consult!
