I have one particular product that is outselling everything else in my ebay shop at the moment ( and every other seller:) ), but is not selling from the website, my ebay listing is there at the top of google but my website is nowhere to be seen.
I can't figure out what's wrong with my keywords for it, there are a few interchangeable names for the product, how do I find out the most searched for words in relation to it?

what is the url of your website?

ebay has a higher pagerank than your website which means it will be a lot higher up in google for the keyword. Also if you have a lot of competition (a lot of results on google) it is harder to reach the top. Try increasing the number of related keywords on your websites contents and use the appropate tags i.e <h> <h1> etc..

I have my site feed to google product and one minute the ebay shop is at the top , the next it's my site, but it's just this product that's bugging me, I might change the title of it as shops higher than us are using a slightly different name for them, I would still like to know if it's possible to find out the most popular search term for it, to alter teh keywords accordingly.
I don't want to put the actual product name here as this post may well show up in google if I do (It's happened before with another product)!

If you PM me the product name and description, I should be able to find some data for you.

Lots of people browse ebay, looking for particular products, but many just browse and see something that catches their eye.

You will be gettings customers that just stumble upon your product in ebay, as well as people searching for it.
Even if your site was high in google, you could still find that you still get more ebay sales, but obviously that depends on the product, and how likely people would be to 'google' for it, rather than ebay for it.

Try asking your clients on ebay, do some real customer research it can really help having genuine feedback.

A controlled and basic SEO will get your web site in rankings. You can build up some quality lianks and give some of your key words as anchor text.

Maybe adding a link to your personal ebay page, or as many pages on your shop possible, (as long as it isn't affecting the terms and conditions) google might raise your website rank a little?

Well, here's a turn up for the books,
I slightly changed the title of the item in question, the googlebots hit on wednesday and last night I sold 3 of them at £70 each!
Co-incidence or not, at least I know they are visible.
