Suggestion: New private messages highlighted

Hello!

I myself prefer not to be e-mailed when I receive a private message on forums I'm active at, I also find the Javascript confirmation boxes annoying.. so I have those disabled! My suggestion is perhaps when we have unread messages, the text (below the menu, top right) shows in red or something so that it is easily visible? I prefer that sort of thing, not in my face, read it when I have time... or perhaps I'm just being picky?

Let me know what you think or if this would be a possiblity

I think he implies that he has them disabled, that he has ticked those boxes, but would like the Private Message text to be red if there was a PM waiting; a visual flag of smaller proportion than a mail or a pop up.

Yeah, Dawg has it correct! Like I said, perhaps I'm being picky but it's just a suggestion; that's all. No need to respond like you did, INDIZINE! This is just something I've seen at other forums and thought this one may possibly benefit from if there are other people like me here who want an indication to stand out but not in my face, nor to my e-mail inbox. Just so that you know, the main reason for not wanting PM alerts being sent to my e-mail inbox is that once you start a small conversation with somebody through PM it can be annoying receiving an e-mail on each response If you don't think this is something that the forums can benefit from then fair enough, you arn't going to lose a member over it.
