Store2go.net Is it down??

Yes, I quite agree. I have tried emailing them, phoning the help line which is all automated and phone the £1 per minute line, which rings but no-one answers.
Now I am panicking! Could they have just disappeared??
I'd be very suprised if they had disappeared. it's probably a case of them avoiding the onslaught of "what the hell is going on" phone calls and emails, till they can give an answer. It's ominous that they wont answer the phone if they cant give an answer. that might mean this is a long way from being fixed yet.....

Just gone to my site stats and found I have had 8 visits today!! 1 is viewing now!
That is obviously down from previous days but how does that happen??
Surely that could just as easily be a bot not a person though, or else it could just be someone looking at a cached page?

Personally if this was me I would be changing my host, especially if you are being hosted outside of the UK and have no means to contact anyone for any support. There is no excuse for sites to be down for that length of time - think of the cost of lost sales as a result

I can certainly recommend my own provider www.internetretailer.biz I've never experienced any problems with mine and all support is in the UK

The fact that the actual main page for store2go has also gone completely would worry me.

If there is a problem then if they have a forum it should state what the problem is as there has got to be someone on the end of the phone to put customers minds at ease, and forget the £1 per minute that is just another way for them to make money.

"but that is my view"

I am definatley going to look into another host. I did some research last night.
If this is not resolved though, am I right in thinking I have lost EVERYTHING on my current site? I would have to start from scratch again???

yes that as crossed my mind too. google has cached pages of your site (pages which arent live). so people could be looking at those. Im having the same hits on my stats counter and no way are they getting onto my live site.

Store2go as a Basket2go site too, which i believed was lauched before store2go, this isnt working either

sorry to say, but if store2go as gone down for good (but i dont believe that at the moment) then yes, all the stuff on the database will be lost and we will all have to start from scratch.....

Take a deep breath though, servers are funny old things, when they go down, they can go down with a bang, so i think its a bit soon to be talking of starting from scratch

A rule of thumb for anyone who who is dealing with a website is always keep a backup and if you need to, down load the Database every week. That way if anything does happen then you only lose what you have not saved.

Just recieved this email from the servers:

I have forwarded your email to the web dept
regards
company formation support

At least there is someone there looking into it for us!

good advice that, one which ive always followed. thing is, when i first signed up to them, i emailed them to ask how i backed up my site on my pc, as i had tried FTP on my site and couldnt get in. they said i didnt have to because the server did a backup for me...

Hi, I have a store with store2go (Revo Limited) and have not been able to access my site since yesterday at 3 pm. I have contacted the IT guy who has replied once at 4pm yesterday, not sure what is going on? Do you know where these people (store2go) are based?

You should be getting update of the problem from them, when and if they know what the problem is.

I only purchased subscription from them last week, and now they seem to have gone :(

I was unable to access the site from about 2pm yesterday, i sent in an email asking what the problem is, and I still havent got a reply. I'm really worried now that they have gone down for good, and I have lost money that I couldnt afford to lose.

Hi,

My site is down too :(

I did have a 3 orders through yesterday after 3 o'clock but only found this out after checking my Protx account!

has this happened before?? I have been with store2go over 12 months and never experienced a problem like this...

what is the number to call to speak to Adrian as I have never been able to find a contact number online?

Alot of people are waiting for them to get in touch, if this is not sorted within a couple of hours then the thing someone might have to do is ring the £1 per minute (against my better judgement) to see if there are any answers about what is going on.

£1 a minute not bad, but then you have to wait for 20 minutes on hold! They're probably reading this rubbing their hands together!

I have tried 3 times phoning the number.
No-one has answered.....

Just phoned tech support and left a message for them to get back to me! When? No idea! Will let you know as soon as I hear anything.

I dunno if anyone else uses Google adwords or similar but I have just paused the campaign on my account as I dont want to be paying per click when potential customers cant get onto the website!

Not very helpful saying " there is no problem at my end" asking if i had changed settings on my computer. I thought it was only me having the problem. Does anyone know where this chap Adrian or his company are based? is it in the UK?

Yes I have paused my ad campaign also!
I don't know any information of Adrian, just the email address, however like someone has said if his email is attached to the site then he won't get them.

Highlander, what number did you phone?

Did someone on store2go staff say this to you? If so you are right, not very helpful... I think they have to be careful how they handle this, there are plenty of helpful people in this topic posting plenty of alternative web builders and hosts, not to mention this topic is getting picked up by google. If they want any reputation keeping that they may have had, i think they had better get thier finger out a bit with this.

Yeah, I paused mine this morning. My site is still working except for jpeg images. And I have no idea what people have bought and where to dispatch it because the control panel is down!:(

I have four sites with them and none are working, I also know two others with them and still not working, its getting ridiculous.

I think if you look into this further you'll find this is someone running several different companies, all are down except for this page which is very badly written with lots of grammatical errors and missspellings and the statement about 99% uptime guarantee is laughable given what you guys are experiencing - and potentially opens them/him up to some financial claims when you do get hold of someone as well.
