Hi Jayne

Poor you, you have my company Im staying in, not because Im sad, just because I choose to, just not in the mood for going out. Just because it's New Years Eve its as if it's mandatory, like some rule, and as you know I break all the rules.

This is half the problem, my wife was on last new years eve, some of the stoires she tells shock me

One lad went out last time with his brother. Someone for no reason glassed him.
He got back to A and E, wife took a look.. They glassed out his eye.
all for the price of a pint

Not only this but anna cannot even go anywher without smeone knowing who she is. Oh we are not hermits. We are painting the tiles of london next week. So we have our fun. Just we prefer to hibernate while everyone else is.

Is it worth it?
Besides at 32 (sorry nic u were 30 out lol) i am getting too old for all that now. :)

I have just got back from one of the best restaurants in Georgia and the most expensive at £75/head. Well known people attend and we had a famous singer. All music was live and no jukebox rubbish

It is 6.30am here! Had a good time although I was the first to arrive at the restaurant because Georgians traditionally celebrate with family then go for a meal/drink at 1am until 5am...sometimes until breakfast!

I love the restaurant so much I am going again. I am deferring my flight back to the UK in order to have my birthday there! You all are invited!

Happy New Year all.

We stayed in and had no intentions of staying up. However just before midnight the fireworks started and the neighbours' kids were outside yelling and shouting. Our son hates fireworks and was up for over an hour until all the noise calmed down.

So we did actually see the new year in - the fireworks in London (BBC1) looked spectacular - much better than the ones they had for the millenium.

Well I had a good night in one way. I was quite fed up, because everyone else was going out and Mark was sick so I couldn't go. I'd tried to build my own website and totally mucked it up and was stuck using publisher.

My host Tony (vshosting) sent me a template to do another website, so i'd have something to do while stuck in on New Years Eve. What a thoughtful bloke he his and I want to say a bit thank you to Tony, the nicest host in the world.

(Apart from Rob, who is also lovely)

He also had lots of beers for me, them blamed me for his huge hang over this morning

Happy New Year to you all,

realised it was 15 or 16 years since I first spen NYE in a club,
did it again this year arfter a couple of quiet ones, loved it, your never too old.

Hope wherever you were, it was a good night, the restaurant in georgia sounded good!

I too have seen and heard stories of the violence on our streets, but you have to put it out of your mind, just factor it into the way you behave and how you organise your getting to and from venues.

Good luck to you all in 2006, I'm gonna bust my gut to make it a good one!
