Specific places on the web to find video clips?

Obviously before all video clips get put on the likes of youtube, vimeo etc before video editors get there hands on them then mash them up to how they want them to appear on there own youtube channel for example
Is there pacific places on the web when you can just go to try to get hold of these clips and then download them yourself to do what you please with for certain fan pages?
What i am mainly interested in is cartoon and tv intro's from the 60s through to the present day
For example cartoons like thundercats,bravestarr,m.a.s.k,muppet babies
Tv series like miami vice,magnum p.i,cagney & lacey,The a-team
Old adverts like mash get smash with the robots,mr soft,boost bars red car n blue car had a race,hamlet adverts,kia ora

Most of the content you mention would be covered by copywrite so you would need the copywrite holder's permission to publish work based on those videos. Most of the unauthorised videos found on Youtube etc probably started out by being ripped from DVD releases of the original shows.

I've looked into the copywrite side of things and its a touch & go subject so to speak if your a fan page/blog as long as your not trying to use it for commercial gain and you have some sort of disclaimer on your site page saying any copywrite license holders not happy with what gets posted on our page please message the page privately most copywrite license holders are happy with this because in a way really your promoting there product/license for them

The moment you put an ad on your site, it may be considered commercial gain. Only very old stuff has no copyright issues. I would recommend you check with a lawyer before using any material.

I believe the content is original so it would be in the hands of the owners who share it with their editor before it hits Vimeo and Youtube. That's a problem. Copyright is the next issue.

Firstly, its copyright not copywrite. What on earth makes you think you can put copyright content on a fansite and not have the owner come after you for damages? I saw a post on another forum this morning by someone who takes thousands of dollars a year from bloggers who breach her copyright.
