Hi everyone.

I really hope this is the right place to post.

I am a tea blender. I have been interested i herbs for over 10 years now ( it has been my little hobby for a while now - I have done loads of studying/ reading/ training , etc so know what I am doing).
I also make soaps, shampoo bars, lotion bars ( I have a diploma in hair and skin care formulation) and that’s something I might want to add to my little business plan later on but already know well what’s involved when it comes to selling skin /hair care legally.

I am looking to start selling my teas however I don't know what documentation/legal requirements I need.

The idea is to buy herbs form reputable suppliers here in The UK , blend/ mix them together at home ( I have my own recipes for blending teas) and package and sell them online or at market stalls.

I won’t be using my own herbs . There won’t be any cooking involved either. And I won’t be making any medical claims.

My question is - what legal documentation/registrations etc do I need to be able to start selling my products?
Could someone point me to the right direction please? I have no idea where to start.
I have asked in some Facebook groups but so far no replies ( it has been a few weeks). I even approached a tea blender on Instagram but once again no reply to my messages.

Looking forward to hearing from you x

Hi,

Sorry no advice but I came on here to write the exact same thing! Hopefully someone will respond soon.

Could I ask how you source your packaging?

Also please let me know how you get on :)

Best wishes
Carly
