Sage Pay Update Mess?

C

Christiane

It crashed twice this morning whilst I attempted to do a refund.
Also just noticed it duplicated a refund last week when it did the same thing.
Why make the homepage on the search? I agree with everybody else, bl##dy awful.
.....
Great, it's now locked me out because it keeps crashing and couldn't get back on the page! Clicking the back button doesn't do what they say it should either!

Hi All

If you are looking for an alternative to your existing PSP, have a look at our website. We have a special offer for all Sage Pay merchants wishing to switch to us.

We are the UK's leading independent PSP and are Level 1 PCI DSS compliant, so if you need a merchant account or if you already have merchant services, we can help.

PM us if you have questions...

Are you :| How do you quantify that statement, and... where are the Terms & conditions on your website, or am I having a blonde moment :|

If you click on the blue or green button on our home page there are links to our terms there. Our partner terms are behind the orange button.

In terms of quantifying our claims we are not owned by a bank or larger corporation like our competitors :)

Found your t&cs, thanks for that. My point is, how do you quantify yourselves as the biggest non-bank owned PSP?? Is there a secret industry body that collects transaction volumes from PSPs?

Or is it just marketing speak, right until proven wrong

We finally got into our Sagepay yesterday after a couple of 20 min phonecalls. Usernames with spaces don't work apparently..

It's terrible. Ok it's quick, and it looks nicer, but why am I having to scroll up, down, left and right just to see basic info? Maybe it's me and I should swap my 24" for a 15", and go back to Win 98 and dial up...

Fortunately we very rarely have to login as we run everything through our billing system but I feel for you who have to rely on this interface :/

As the UK's biggest independant online Dymo specialists ;), and users of both systems, we can vouch for SecureTrading giving us a lot less problems than SagePay... And their interface, while not being brilliant, doesn't suck ass like the new sagepay one does.

We know the number of merchants we have and the number of transactions we process and we have a very good idea of how compare to our competitors. We do not claim to be largest non-bank owned, we claim independence from a larger corporation such as a bank.

I like having Mastercard as our Overlords . You say it like its a bad thing having a global giant giving you backing :D.

I might actually back SecureTrading's statement that they are the current largest independant PSP in the UK. With our company group going to mastercard for a tiny 300m+ last month they may very well have gained the title. And good on them. They are a decent company.

For overall merchants www.cardsave.com are the largest in the UK. They are closing in on 45k of them but with most in the card holder present environment.

Talking of payment processors, I was on holiday in Thailand in the summer and went to the bar to watch one of the world cup matches. Got chatting to the guy next to me who turned out to be a director of a UK payment processor. Nobody on here and I've forgotten the name but it's a small world!

We had a few minutes' geeky chat and a moan about Worldpay, Sagepay and the like then got back to footie :p

No, you claim:

"SecureTrading - the UK's leading independent payment processor"

Its just unsubstantiated marketing waffle. Go on, admit it, I won't tell anyone else ;)

I was quite happy with the Sagepay update until this week.

Tried to login today, gave me a error, so tried to login again now telling me IM already logged in and have to wait 15 minutes and I have a client on the phone wanting to make a card payment.

Also really hate the transactions list, I cant find anywhere to break it down by day.

Oh and also the anoying side scroll.

Rant Over.

    Hi
We are encountering problems with our Reporting database, we are restarting it in an attempt to fix the issue.

You will be experiencing problems logging into My Sage Pay, carrying out reports, and the Admin and Reporting tool (Access) is also currently down.

Transactions continue to process through the gateway with intermittent time out issues.

I will keep you fully posted on any developments and resolutions.

I sincerely apologise for the obvious inconvenience this is causing,

    Kind regards
    Alicia

Please DO NOT post words such as sincerely apologise when you are not apologising. If you wish to apologise, the person who signed this new system off should pay us compensation with his personal money.

You DO NOT understand that as business owners we DO NOT like your system of the transaction screen the way all the transactions are all green rows. So we cannot clearly see which payment has been released from pre authorisation.

We are fed up of your nonsense/lies.

I cannot even see the fraud results on the same page after processing a manual payment. Even putting the manual payment in, I have to click into another tab to put the ref no in of the payment.
Maybe you should try to run a business where we just want to see a clean one page layout.

You're shouting at the wrong person. Check CJD's signature - look like he could just possibly run a business that uses sagepay rather than representing sagepay? Wonder if he was actually just reposting what he'd been told by their support?

AND it doesn't keep logging us out every 10-15 minutes like sagepay does which is really getting annoying now, especially as logging in a is still a pretty hit and miss affair with it being approx 50/50 between getting logged in or getting locked out.

Quite frankly, sagepay, I resent the implication that I'm some bumbling moron who's accessing my account from an internet cafe and leaving my screen unattended while I stand in the queue for a cafe latte. My PC is loaded up with AV and hidden behind firewalls, and nobody else has physical access to it - so get rid of the stupid timeout, and let me keep the window open like securetrading does. Yes I know your old interface did that as well, but a) that was still annoying, and b) it didn't do it in as annoying a way as it does now...
