Regarding Taxi insurance

Hi Guys,

Would anyone be able to direct me in the right direction, i am a start up insurance broker awaiting my AR authorisation from the FSA, and in the mean time searching for companies whom provide Private Hire Insurance - Taxi Insurance,

Is anybody aware of any forum member providing these products that i could speak to?

My firm is going to be based in an area where is their is over 5000 private hire drivers in a 3 mile radius.

Any help would be great.

The divers aren't always your target, the vehicle owners are. There may be 5000 drivers but say only 3500 vehicles and 2000 policy holders consisting of your owner drivers and garages or can firm running a large fleet.

Most cab offices will have a small kitchen area for drivers, contact the firm to see about putting posters up or offer them commission on referrals.

Thanks for the reply, having previously owned a private hire firm i am fully aware of how the industry operates, most are driver owned cars.

is their any insurance provider on here whom provide insurance for taxi private hire cars whom i maybe can speak to regarding bringing to the table for a commission fee.

Fantastic. Since you're fully aware of how the industry operates you'll be fully aware of the relevant insurance compaines then won't you so you won't be needing any help from here.

I would suggest that to get the best out of the people here, you might want to be a little nicer, especially when you're asking for peoples' help.

I didnt think i was being rude in any way? yes i am aware of the private hire industry and which companies are used but i need a broker in order to process the insurances.

You say your awaiting to become a AR? Would you not have access to the markets already?
