Insurance for a self employed cleaner

I am a self-employed cleaner working independently in clients’ private homes. I do not employ anyone and work entirely on my own. I also do not provide my own equipment, as my clients supply everything I need. I would like to be insured against any potential damage I might cause while working — for example, accidentally breaking a vase or if someone slips on a wet floor. What type of insurance would cover these situations? What insurance providers provide this sort of cover?

I guess I should get a Public Liability Insurance policy tailored for domestic cleaners. I want the policy to include property damage (broken items, etc.) and personal injury to third parties. For example: “accidentally knock over a vase” or “client slips on wet floor after I’ve cleaned”.

Hi, yes you need to look at Public Liability insurance cover for cleaners.

This will cover for damage to your customer property and also if you cause an injury to someone (like them slipping on. A floor you have just cleaned)

There are plenty of insurance options out there - here is just one https://www.policybee.co.uk/cleaners-insurance
