Photo's needed for my stock

I have just set up a new business selling products online. Im looking for a company or small business where i can take my stock and get the pictures done professionally to give them that cutting edge. I feel that the pictures and graphics on websites make or break sales in some cases. Its clothing so the customer needs to see exactly what they are getting as they cannot try it on. Im basically looking for a studio of some sort where they will take pictures of my clothing on manequins, put them on disc so i can add them to my site.

Im also looking for a way to take online payments from credit cards etc. Can anyone advice me on the best way to do this?

Would appreciate all the help i can get.

We set up our own studio for about £1000 after visiting with a professionaly photographer for a day and getting his advice. Well worth it if you are going to have to get a lot of shots done.

As Silly says, setting up your own "studio" isnt massively expensive, especially if you are only wanting it for website quality photos - a backdrop and a couple of lighting units will be all you need - a standard digital camera will be sufficient probably rather than needing a dSLR and a whole raft of lenses.

Hi pal,

This place has a very good reputation for packshot photogaphy and theri work is good, not cheap but good, many clothing sites use packshot photography and don't use model or mannequin I quite like that style for looking through clothes. They can add gizmos like being able to rotate the item. Web Address is:

For taking credit cards, you will probably best with getting a merchant account through one of the major banks, barclays, hsbc etc. Then need to encrypt so it's secure, Protx work well for that.

Hiya Jason!

The web designer and general creative genius that we use for all our branding etc does photography and he's excellent. His company is called Grow Studio. He can also advise on online payment etc because he's just done it for us!
