I asked last week if anyone knew why my Google SEO rankings differed from day to day and from computer to computer and I have noticed a couple of other recent threads querying 'appearing' and 'disappearing' listings etc.
I have now noticed that our position on Google for 'property investment' on our site highgrowthpropertyinvestment changed (for a few consecutive days) on the dot of 4pm from mid page 2 to bottom page 1.
The term 'investment property' has also been swinging daily between page 1 and 2.
My theory? First it is not because I have my Google account open.
I believe that Google are testing their new ranking criteria of click thru rate on SEO by alternating site position in exactly the same way they do on PPC. If this is the case I would imagine (again a theory) that they would not alternate the very top page 1 positions but confine their testing to lower page 1 and page 2/3 listings.
Is this the latest Google secret?
