Come on Steve that's a tad harsh, you're missing the point.

If I see anyone in my workshop just sharpening a pencil 'willy-nilly' with a Stanley knife, well, that sort of careless attitude is going to incur my wrath.

And that's putting it bluntly.

On a more worrying note, WTF has Nuno been googling....

The Americans are strange with pencils, it's the only country I know where you can buy pencil extenders - it's a handle that you add on to the stub when it gets too short to hold. I've still got one that was given to me by an American visitor back in the last century.

But wouldn't "Put more lead in your pencil" be a better selling point?

I hope you know, a sharpened pencil is one of the most dangerous weapons out there. With a good hardness and proper sharpening it can pierce any part of your body with maybe one exception - the skull. And there are parts of your skull which are easily penetrable by a pencil. So... yea. Sharpen them!

May I know the difference between his way of sharpening these pencils from ordinary sharpeners?

The special ingredient, available to a select few, worldwide, is chutzpah. It makes many extraordinary things possible.

(Funnily enough I have some spare if you want to make me an offer...)
