Looking for wholesale clothing.... Please help

Hi,

I am looking to buy very good quality second hand ladies, mens and kids clothing in bulk but have no idea where to look. I have tried to research on google but it doesn't come up with much (just ebay, pre-loved etc). I have tried to contact a few places who buy clothes for cash but with no luck. Any help would be much appreciated.
I have been buying my stock off ebay and have got some good deals but don't think this would be as profitable going forward.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I think the problem is that there is so much ex-chainstore stock around and cheap that there is not much money in supplying 2nd hand stock in the UK.

Try the places the charities shunt 99% of their stock to.
There used to be several companies around who would sell the various types of item by the kilo. In large quantities.

Do you want to set up your own second-hand clothing shop or do you want to be second-hand stock supplier?

Also I think you can take inspiration from those places buying clothes from cash. The least you can do is to put an ad on Gumtree mentioning that you offer cash for clothes. You could also take it one step further and create a simple website where people fill their details and you then meet them and collect the clothes.

You can get a simple website for a very good price from a well-known forum member. @Alan is offering a website right now for only £99, the best offer on the marketplace on this forum. He has helped hundreds of businesses and charities to get a presence on the Internet, so he is experienced and skilled. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend him. Drop him a line and see what he can do for you.

When you say "very good", do you mean cream quality or Grade A?

There are lots of suppliers around, but most send their stock to Africa and Eastern Europe and sell by the tonne, with prices varying wildly, between £1.10 per kilo and £10 per kilo.

Do you have transport or do you need delivery? Where are you based?
