Hi
I am a joint director in a Landscaping business that I set up with my friend in July 2010. Upon entering our partnership and forming a Ltd company I provided a small director's loan to buy a vehicle and some initial equipment, which has now been repaid in full - we have no debt at all now.
During our short time running this business I feel as though I have been much more motivated, taken on more responsibility, and have had most input to create and develop sales. I have initiated several conversations throughout our partnership whereby I have expressed my opinions and concerns to my business partner. He does acknowledge my concerns and agrees that I have had the most input - he then apologizes and promises to get more involved, but inevitably we end up at square one.
I feel as though this next year is very important to our business and that it could really get a proper grounding. However, I am reluctant to continue to give 100% only to share my efforts with someone who may as well be employed!! Has anyone had a similar experience, or can anyone offer any advice into resolving such problems. How could we value the business in order to initiate a possible buy out.
Any feedback appreciated. Thanks
