Laser printer to print business cards

Hello I am currently a student and run a website designing company - ndesignstudio.co.uk as a part time income

I have decided to expand and provide a business card printing facility but I was wondering whether someone could advice me on some laser printers which will print on about 300gsm card and how much I should look to spend.

I have also seen a few business card cutters but if any of you have any in mind, please let me know.

If honest, I would not bother...

As well as myself, there are so many good printers on here that will print you business cards quickly and easily on 400gsm plus card for not alot of money.

250 x Business Cards, full colour, 400gsm - £20 plus vat
delivered by courier under plain wrapping so your clients are unaware.
24 hour turnaround as well.

agreed, you can get them so cheap from outside companies who will have bigger and better printers and guillotines.
for business cards it would be best for you to design them and outsource the print work.

On a similar theme, what do you think of printing your own leaflets and brochures? Is it more cost effective for small runs than outsourcing?

it would depend on the quantity, if you are only doing 10-30 or so you may be able to do it yourself cheap-ish. but generally you would be able to get a good price on flyers from elsewhere - they will be printed on a more capable printer and well trimmed.

have a word with scuba, he offers some really nice prices on flyers and does them super quick!

I have a fair bit of knowledge in this area.. For laser:

They are verrry expensive if you want 300GSM... Most barf at 270 or less... and you will get much better results off a digital press anyway.

I am agreed with BES. That will be very very expensive for you. Why should not you try the lower weighted cards? That would be help full for you to manage the Budget as well as you will print more than printing on 300 gsm paper.
