Iphone losing face?

Hi Guys,

Is it me or is the Iphone losing it's market share fast? People seem to be purchasing the new windows phones and Blackberry's over the iconic Apple device.

What do you guys think? I have been an Apple man for a while now!

Hey there, I have too been thinking this. Many friends have had the iPhone at some point and no longer have one. For many reasons they have made the move - I think the expense is rather a lot and they feel slightly ripped off.

I think the iPhone will stay very popular, I don't think I would have any other phone!

I think you will Windows' market share is tiny and Blackberry's is declining

The real competition is from Android.

True but smartphone sales are up generally and iPhone are loosing market share.

From the link you posted:

A report last month from market research firm Nielsen found Google's Android had become the most popular operating system among US smartphone users - accounting for 29% of the market, in comparison to iOS at 27%.

Having said that I recently conducted a survey of local smartphone uses and iPhone still came out on top (albeit by a narrow margin)

Android *have* overtaken iPhone but only slightly, so where there is a loss its very small and they are certainly not losing it to RIM or windows mobile.

iPhone revolutionized the phone market but it hasn't changed much since, I still think its a great device and would not trade it for any other phone on the market today but with its high purchase price etc many of the other smart phones are much better deals

iphone 5 comes out soon, wonder how that will impact on things.
